City captain Matt Oakley finally showed his class against Blue Square Premier side Stevenage Borough to win the fans acclaim and take his first man of the match of the season. Oakley spent most of the game out on the right wing and put in an eye-catching performance whilst goalscorers Lloyd Dyer and Andy King rounded off the top three, with King in particular scoring one of the goals of the season to top off a solid performance.
Bruno Berner struggled to adapt to the centre midfield role and this resulted in the Swiss international claiming the flop of the match. However, Berner was the only player who was rated under 6.00 with keeper Paul Henderson and debutant Marc Edworthy rounding off the bottom three with respectable mid-six scores.

Having seen endless replays of King's goal I rate it special enough for any MoM award.
But Oakley was much involved in the goals and I don't think it realistic for me to imagine the forum is nearly ready yet for the idea of voting King as number one.
In fact I should be pleased. One or two wanted the guy dropped for the Yeovil game!

Yes, well it doesn't always work out like that. Ask the Shrewsbury manager.
And, if I remember right most of these players deserved bloody good ratings against Fulham not many weeks ago. You play the opponent of the day and that's what the ratings assess.
