Half-Season Awards - Part 2
The Awards

The final part of the half-season awards is split into two sections: voter awards and player awards. Just to clarify how some of the awards are calculated - the consistency is based on a deviation from average calculation so the further away a mark is from the player's overall average the more of an erratic performance it is considered to be. The most improved/declined player awards were calculated by splitting this half of the season into three sections and comparing the averages over the three periods.

Thanks again to everyone who voted in 2008. The site will be up for voting after the Palace game and will hopefully continue throughout 2009 so please keep voting.

Excellent stuff. The stats do seem to reflect pretty accurately the performances so far. Can't really argue with that best 11 either, with the exception of Davies instead of Adams (although Davies would be in if he'd played more games).

A lot of time and effort has clearly gone into this, much obliged!

Very interesting to read, was this.
I can't believe we're top of the league and not a single one of our players has been rated at least above a 7 on average, though. (Other than Davies, but he's only had 6 games.)
