Leicester City 3-0 Leyton Orient
10 January 2009

Mark Davies kicked off his second loan spell at City by comfortably winning the man of the match after the votes of the fans left him head and tails above his team-mates. An outstanding midfield performance from Davies saw him beat consistent performer Matt Oakley to the top spot with regular man of the match Aleksandar Tunchev forced down into third.

Lloyd Dyer claimed a second flop of the match award in two weeks as another average performance failed to see him win the acclaim of the City supporters.

On a brighter note, praise should also go to Steve Howard who has managed to win six consecutive best striker awards which is an impressive feat when his main challenger is League One's joint top scorer.

No surprise there really. I thought Andy King was our 3rd best player on the pitch today though, after Davies and Oakley.
