Leicester City 2-2 Carlisle United
4 April 2009
Lloyd Dyer finally managed to halt his long series of poor performances by being voted the best player in the 2-2 draw at home to Carlisle on Saturday. Dyer's rating was helped by his two assists in setting up both City goals whilst Max Gradel did enough to claim second and Wayne Brown's 45 minutes of football was good enough for third.
Patrick Kisnorbo's performance did not impress the City fans resulting in a flop of the match award, with March's player of the month Tony Warner and full back Joe Mattock only just avoiding the title.

He definately looked better on Saturday than in recent weeks.
Fair play to him, hope he can hit form for the run-in.

A well-deserved award. He'd been looking better for a while, after many weeks of below-par performances....in turn, after 2-3 months of outstanding performances early season (never forget!).
I hope this is a springboard for Lloyd, going into the last 5 games.
I still think he could be a big player a league higher, with fewer 10-man defences and a different striker combination...
Good to see the likes of Gradel and Brown get recognition, too...

It was well deserved and I'm pleased for the guy. Confidence is important for footballers and I hope this lifts him back to his best.

It was deserved. Looked like one of his early season performances.
