Deserved Monthly Award For Dyer
April/May Awards
Lloyd Dyer has been voted as Citys player of the month for April/May completing a remarkable turnaround after claiming the flop of the month title for March. Dyer won no less than four man of the match awards in the past six games helping him to win the prestigious Player-Ratings.com title comfortably. Dyer was ironically also the most inconsistent player in the month with his performance against Leeds being by far and away the best and his performance against Scunny his poorest.
Newly-signed centre back pairing Jack Hobbs and Wayne Brown were second and third respectively while Michael Morrison and Steve Howard can both consider themselves unlucky not to make the top three.
Joe Mattock continued his poor run of form by winning the flop of the month title, and although Andy King and Matty Fryatt were the second and third poorest players to play long enough they by no means had bad months.
The best team performance of the month was in front of the Sky cameras at home to promotion chasing Leeds United, with the worst being the 2-2 draw at home to Carlisle at the beginning of the month.
It was no doubt an excellent month for City with some great performances that saw them cross the line and return to the Championship at the first attempt. Blue Army!!!

If anything I think this shows a very strong side to Nigel Pearson, dyer was out of form at one stage and he stuck by him.
