Plus, they have lost the likes of Irwin and Rae, and are certain to lose Camara who hit form at the end of last season. I think they command that price simply because they have the best finances in the division - However, they have done nothing with it.....
Scow Posted 13 July 2004 Author Share Posted 13 July 2004 Talking of Camara, he's gone AWOL...... http://www.football365.com/news/cocacola_n...ry_118904.shtml Wolves have confirmed want-away striker Henri Camara has refused to join pre-season training and left the country against their wishes. The Molineux club's pre-season training programme began last week but Camara was granted time off after having played in Senegal's World Cup qualifiers. The 27-year-old, who handed in a written transfer request following Wolves' relegation from the Premiership at the end of last season, was instead due back on the training pitch this week. But after crisis talks collapsed, Camara has now flown to France against the club's wishes. Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: "We held talks yesterday afternoon during which Henri refused to go to the training ground with the rest of his teammates. "He's now gone to Paris, which we're unhappy about, and the matter remains unresolved at the moment. "There will be a board meeting and the matter will be discussed in full," Moxey told the club's official website. Camara, a £1.5million buy from French outfit Sedan last summer, scored seven goals in 32 league and cup outings for Wolves. He has set his heart on a transfer to the Premiership but so far only Bolton have expressed an interest but their £2.5million valuation of the player was neither classed as an official bid nor a match for Wolves' estimate of his transfer value
Cobbo Posted 13 July 2004 Share Posted 13 July 2004 if we get Connolly, I'd say we have a better team and squad than West Ham.

Mark Posted 13 July 2004 Share Posted 13 July 2004 Wouldnt put West Ham above us now, after losing Connolly to us, and Carricks meant to be off too.
TrickyTrev Posted 13 July 2004 Share Posted 13 July 2004 When you look at the list of teams you realise what a piss poor division it is. We are the strongest of the 3 teams that went down and then when youy look at it, the rest of them were not even as good as Norwich and West Browm both of which are very average sides.
