Aprils manager of the month award.

Recommended Posts

For sure. He's done everything right in April and under the immense pressure our players are under I think it's safe to say he's worked miracles.

I bet the bookies don't like leicester at the min haha!!

Why? we were solid favs for relegation and we're headed the other way. They will like that. Favs losing is their bread and butter.

However, I imagine quite a few canny punters looked at the run ins and had a few bob on us staying up. I told my nephew to look closely at the situation in March and he had us at 8/1. Spurs fans making money out of us!

Jose or one of the other cvnts will get it.... Pi$$es me off something rotte all the hype the top clubs get, some bloke from Kent was on the chase the other day and he told Sean Wallace he was a Chelsea fan and then the question "Which of these teams gained promotion back to the premiership in 2014" with the options "Reading, Leicester and another team I cant remember" and he said I don't care about the teams below us, we're top so I don't have a clue and then said Reading. Fvcking glory hunting pillock!

Plenty like that and it's those you've got to ignore. I love football ever since I got into it I've read about the history of the game and all the stats and facts. It's something I'm pleased about and take pride in knowing. People are different but those like the man you've just described are so annoying and you cannot possibly talk to them about football.

Dyche will get it.

Well, a lot of the mainstream media are calling for him to be manager of the year.

He's done such a good job on a shoe string budget.

lollollol

When is MOTY announced? Wouldn't be at all surprised if Dyche was nominated for it and then Burnley finish bottom, with a 4-0 loss to Villa final day...

Not sure who it should go to, mind. Earlier in the season Koeman or Allardyce would have been front runners, but since January they've both slipped down a bit. Noone has really performed better than expected over the 32 games so far - and certainly not well enough to stand out as manager of the year.

Monk maybe? Pardew?

I know people who had bets on them surviving at long odds. Thought them mad at the time. It is then the bookies were rubbing their hands. But no doubt they will make enough from Derby and Florest fans to make up for it and bookies also lay bets off so will never lose which is why they are on the other side of the counter.

My housemate's and I were discussing this and came up with the following shortlist for MOTY:

Jose - Chelsea have won the league fairly comfortably

Koeman - many tipped Southampton for relegation and they could get Europe

Pardew - kept 2 clubs safe from relegation

Monk - Swansea on track to beat their record points tally and by playing good football

Other runners:

Pearson - if we stay up considering our situation a few weeks ago

Dyche - if Burnley stay up

Dont forget Sherwood, if he keeps Villa away from relegation, and then goes on to win the cup.

I am no Villa fan by any imagination, but it would be top achievment.

I reckon he is a top manager, if Pearson had gone, Sherwood would have been by miles my top favourite, to come to city.
