Top ten of City's WORST ever players (ie the players to play the worst in a City shirt)

Recommended Posts

Simpson first name on the list.

Then basically most of the Levein / mid 2000s lot.

Oh and Jesse Lingard when we had him. He might have gone on to improve but, when he was with us, he looked like a 12 year old who had won some TV competition to get a squad number.

Lingard played like two games, both sub appearances. Behave

We've got a thread for the best ever players for City, how about a top ten of the worst players you've seen in a CITY shirt (not just 'the worst players')

I'll have a go:

1. Spider Kalac

2. Lee Marshall

3. Brian Carey

4. That ginger haired lad on loan from Man City (Edit....Ryan McGivern)

5. Akinbadbyi

6. Matt Mills

7. Neil Danns

8. Gabor Bori

9. Harry Kane (yes, for us he was dreadful)

10. Paul Reid

Amidst many many more...

lol

Harsh on Danns in my opinion, been alot worse players than Paul Reid down here too, and as for Harry Kane, while i agree he was hopeless for us, he wasn`t helped by Pearson playing him out wide most of the time he got on the pitch!

How many times do you say the word 'pearson' in a day. Are you going to support the team nigel manages next

I hope he does well, yes. Support? Doubt i'll go that far.

I said it to someone earlier, if you've got a problem there is always the block option, go for it.

he was absolutely ****ing awful when he did though. which is kinda the point of the thread.

Considering our mid 2000s teams, the boy was a star

5 appearances, and he was absolutely gash in all of them

He was played out of position for the most part, very harsh to even be considered for the limited amount of time he played here

nah not having it he made momo sylla look like ronaldo. he was pathetic. he was like a child in a man's game. when he came on against forest @ 2-2 he got a good half an hour in a team going for a win and i'd be amazed if he actually touched the ball, let alone did anything any good with it. absolute joke of a signing and a player when he was here.

I would love to know how much money the club has wasted over the years on awful players. Some never even made a single appearance for us. I'm thinking of the likes of casino jimmy, kaebi, nick Powell, gabor bori, Michael Johnson etc

half an hour, come on behave. His spell was dreadful, but it's hardly enough to completely judge his ability which is why he's done so well since. Didn't help Nige playing him out of position either, we were dreadful that day anyway

Jason Jarrett (couldn't pass to another team-mate, even from just a few yards).

Carl Cort - was considered next big thing, but did f all.

Just Googled carl Cort out of interest and turns out he's the half brother of ruben Loftus cheek!

he had half an hour in attack for a team going to win a game and i genuinely don't think he touched the ball. he spent the whole time hiding, trying not to trip over his shorts.

nobody is "completely judging his ability". the thread says who was shit when they were here. as you have just said, "his spell was dreadful" and that, imo, is being incredibly kind.

Not particularly wanting to join the debate but Lingaard was absolutely woeful whenever he played. I just remember him losing the ball due to a bad touch every time he received it. Pretty sure there was also a debate at the time (when he kept coming on as a sub) to whether we had to play him for a certain amount of games as part of his loan deal
