Crazy Stat Time!

Recommended Posts

Mark Schwarzer has won the league title in consecutive seasons with different teams.

Anyone know if that's ever been done before?

I'd guess he's the first to do without playing.

Yeah I've just totted it up -

We've been behind in matches so far this season for a total of 339 minutes (out of 3240 + stoppage time).

And since and including Boxing Day we've been behind for only 46 mins!!!

If you count from after that match until now - so from fixture 19 to 36 (18 matches!) we've been behind for 19 minutes...

THAT is mental!

I love this stat. Shows how solid we've been in the second half of the season. I'd love Kasper to get the golden gloves after the start of the season where we couldn't keep a clean sheet to save our lives.

This is one of the things I love most about this season. The 5000-1 stat has inevitably been the headline so far but hopefully this side of the story will get told more and more.

The business plan for the club has simply been exceptional. And the owners and staff built great foundations for good things to happen on the footballing side.

We have been so incredibly efficient with our resources. Getting off-the-field side of things pretty much spot on (overseas on-tour activities aside).

Researching fully the best players in terms of fitness, in terms of fitting in with the rest of the squad and also of course in terms of skills before spending our money. Then coaching and training them specifically with an eye on keeping injuries to a minimum.

When Ulloa has played this season, we're unbeaten.

Did Nick the Stats Guy hack your account? He was subbed on in the home Arsenal defeat and the Liverpool defeat. Also started in the FA Cup replay against spurs that we lost. (Not sure about the League Cup game but that counts as a draw, right?)

The correct stat is: When Ulloa has scored this season, we're unbeaten.

Tbf, that's true for all players who've scored apart from Vardy. He scored the three goals against Arsenal and we didn't score v Liverpool.

In the last 20 seasons only Birmingham City, (League Cup 2011) and us, ( 2 League Cups & 1 PL Title), have won one of the three Major English trophies as teams from the midlands !!

In the last 20 seasons, if you ranked teams on major domestic trophies won (Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup), then the table looks like this:

1.  Man Utd

2.  Chelsea

3.  Arsenal

=4. Man City

=4. Liverpool

6.  Leicester City

7.  Spurs
