Koke Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 Rooney isn't playing and Welbeck is injured so I think Roy might try Vardy on the left. I hope not but knowing Hodgson he probably would do it.
JerryLundegaard Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 Well if he plays it's better than nothing. It was quite clear the difference in his contribution against Germany when he was switched into a striker role instead of wide. But then we all knew that already! Matt Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 DOWN THE ****ING MIDDLE WOY!!!!!!! :BANGHEAD: Also he's got to start Drinkwater surely? He's got to try him, see what he's got to finally decide if he's taking him? I mean I thought he'd missed the boat and his call up in the last game was simply a token gesture, I didn't expect him to be called up for the provisional squad (I thought he should have been, and I think he should go to the Euros, but didn't expect Woy to do so), but now he's there he's got to make a decision, how can he make a decision if he doesn't play him and give him a chance?! st albans fox Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 SSN seem to think he'll be on the wing.Be ridiculous - need to play the diamond with Alli behind Kane and vardy. problem Roy has is if he uses it and it works well, he'll be stuffed re his captain. I don't think the diamond suits DD. He was used by us on the right side last season and didn't really shine there. He is far more confident now and our way of playing means he has license to go pretty well everywhere. Wouldn't be the same for England. Vardy in a front three on the left? we should have better options. I would like to see him try Kane and vardy up top with the diamond behind. just to see how they play together. It may be a disaster. At least we would know. Wilshere guaranteed a start. Needs to get his match fitness.

There's already something seriously wrong just for the fact it's up for discussion. Drinkwater should go over Delph no question. Noble should be in the squad ahead of Delph

st albans fox Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 Wilshere and Sterling ahead of DD is a disgrace. Take your blue hat off Wilshere IS a better footballer than DD Is he fit though and can he last a tournement? That's why he is starting. Sterling will be playing in an attacking role. he is a better bet for that than DD.

Disgrace was maybe a bit much for a friendly lineup, but if either of them go to the euros over DD it is a disgrace. What have either have them done this season? Sterling has been non-existent in a poor man city team and Wilshere has barely kicked a fooking ball but is straight into the team. Drinkwater meanwhile has ran the midfield of the premier league champions.
Matt Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 Ohhh Woy, one step forward (Vardy...Down the middle )....Two steps back playing Sterling Tom Daley and Wilshire Sicknote over a champion of England.
Dodgy Bob Posted 22 May 2016 Share Posted 22 May 2016 Could be either a diamond with Sterling at the tip (what?) or 433 with Vardy out wide (what?). Four years of Roy Hodgson and we still haven't got a clue what this England team is all about and we've got players being shoehorned in as if Roy has never seen any of them play. What an absolute shambles he has made of this already.
