Kasabian All You Need To Know?

Recommended Posts

As seems usual, a Leicester Mercury headline that doesn't do what it says.

Are there any support acts on?

What time will Kasabian be on?

What time might it finish?

All I can see is gates open at 5pm. Is it just Kasabian on at 6pm or will they be on as you might expect about 9? Sod being in the ground for hours while it fills up!

Does anyone have anymore details than just when the gates open?

The same article tells you where to park, if tickets are still available and that extra trains are on to be fair.

Support is Blossoms on Saturday, Slaves on Sunday, with Jeff Wootton on both days. It's all been posted elsewhere on here.

You can't expect the Merc to speculate on what times sets will start and finish, and risk giving the wrong information. Nobody knows that for sure till the day.

Blossoms are supporting on the Saturday and Slaves the Sunday. There's another guy over both days but I can't remember his name.

They played Vicky Park at 9pm and it lasted about an hour and a half / two hours, can't see it lasting past 11 because of the noise. I'd imagine Blossoms / Slaves will be on at 7/7:30ish which is when I'll probably get down there for on the Saturday. All guesswork though.

Thanks! Thats more than I could find anywhere else. They should have a rough idea of timings and it wouldn't hurt to let people knows 'Doors at 5 - Show at 7' or something like that.

Guest Mee-9

Half the people that are going probably think it's a football game. I swear no-ones been to a gig before.

It's just another gig. I imagine Kasabian will come on around 9 like usual.

The question is... will we have to buy alcohol in the concourse? no chance of getting some in I bet.

1st? 1981. Rainbow. Grandby Halls.

Most seen? Motorhead, 32 times, Snaggletooth tattoo on my left shoulder.

Best? Slayer. 1987. Rock City. South of Heaven tour.

First festival? Monsters of Rock 1982, Status Quo headliners.

I asked the questions as I don't want to watch support bands I don't give a fig about or be in the stadium too early when I could be in the pub!

Support bands will be decent man and you never know, you just might end up liking them.

Always try to catch the support band if you can. Especially as it could expand your musical spectrum. Sometimes the support out perform the headliners (and wouldn't that be apt!?)

I wonder if anyone ever asked Lemmy, "what time will you be on?" and didn't get a expletive in reply?

Expand my musical spectrum?

You never know. I've got into plenty of bands I saw who were just the support act. Everybody's got to start somewhere.
