Is Wes Morgan better than me?

Recommended Posts

Going to be so much bias in this thread but Koscienly is a solid centre half. We talk about improvements in Morgan, among others, but Koscielny has really grown since he first joined the Premier League.

Morgan obviously deserved his place in team of the year this season - the guy has been immense for us - but it doesn't make him a better player.

To be fair to the player it looks as though the guy who's tweeted has made up that statement. The actual article doesn't reference Koscielny making any such statements, just says that Wes Morgan and and Robert Huth have a good partnership which is important to be successful and that his preference is to play in a team that likes to keep possession.

He's a good player but the comment is plain daft and bordering on disrespectful to a fellow professional.

Why can't players (Arsenal in particular)!just keep their head down and use missing out on team of season as a motivation for next season?

But did he need to mention Wes and bring up the topic?

Is his penis so small that he's worried about an old jamaican?

I read it in l'equipe this morning whilst having a drink looking over the sunny beach.

pretty arrogant of him to say that tbh, just cos hes at a so called top 4 club doesnt automatically make him better than anyone else, last season proved than when Wes and Huth were solid as a rock.

and clearly Wes is better than him, he was voted by his peers into the team of the year, so sour grapes are vast for that Frenchmen

What was the actual quote because on the link there is nothing to suggest he's said that. It sounds more like his words getting twisted.

Koscielny discusses the style of play he prefers and also points to Leicester captain Wes Morgan as a player that proves, titles are most important.

On central defensive styles, Koscielny told L’Equipe: “It’s complicated, there are different styles. It’s like the attackers: you have players of the style of Oliver (Giroud) or (Romelu) Lukaku, more physical, and another more rapid, as (Sergio) Agüero. At the back it is the same. A ‘Mamadou’ (Sakho) or ‘Raph’ (Varane) or me, we do not have the same qualities. Some believe there should be a complement to the old, with a stopper and a sweeper, but look at Barca. Piqué and Mascherano have almost the same qualities: good in reviving, difficult to pass. Look at Leicester this season. This team has a back line composed of two big burly defenders (Morgan and Huth) and it did not concede a lot of goals. I repeat: what counts is to find a combination that works, communicates well.”

On Arsenal’s style, Koscielny reveals: “I just know that I take more pleasure to play in a team that has the ball rather than being positioned deep and play long.”

And, Koscielny cites Barcelona pair Javier Mascherano and Gerard Pique as inspirations: “the two of Barça play very, very high on the ground. But they are rarely endangered. And if Barca lose the ball, they cause such pressure to the opposition that they recoverd very, very quickly. And the defenders have crumbs to manage with.”

Lets face up to reality.......All the Arsenal, Spuds, Chelsea, Man Ure, Man City, and Liverpool players are miles ahead of the players we have at Leicester City.

We must respect them and bow to them at every opportunity.

And that's why we'll never win the Premier League.....................................

If you think I can remember a quote in French from a sports paper read this morning you're overestimating me or underestimating alzheimer.

Definitely overestimating you.

But if we haven't got the quote there's no point in the thread because everybody are going to throw their toys out over something an opposition player probably didn't even say.

Will take my blue tinted Leicester City loving glasses off but really think you have to take a step back and look at this PL team of the year. Not a pundit or expert by any means but my case for any Leicester City player being in the team of the season would be the fact we won the league by 10pts and that is some sort of victory margin so any of our regular 11 have a claim to a position, really hard to argue against any team based on last season being brimming with City players unless of course you are Roy Hodgson

Do foxestakers actually read threads before posting?  It is looking like that  Koscienly has got his words twisted and that there is no clear evidence of Koscienly actually saying this? FFS

Ok mate you enjoy playing it across the back with your fellow defenders and boring us to death whilst we 'play it long' and create shit loads of goals.
