"You let your country down."

Easy for me to say as a Wales fan but, just getting in here in advance, can people not?

It's a god awful shit chant anyway but it'd be doubly retarded this time round with Vardy running round on the pitch for us.

Just my 2p.

I doubt he'll get it to be fair, bit part player who seems to be loved by the England fans.

It will be levelled at Rooney, Smalling, Wilshere, Kane etc and quite rightly so.

I think the OP's point was, if we stand singing it at Joe Hart for example, it looks retarded when our star centre forward is part of the same England squad.

Incredible that somebody had to even point this out.

Not what I meant.

I don't think people will direct it straight at Vardy but how is he going to feel when we start singing it about other members of the squad?

It's embarrassing anyway. People used to chant it at Rob Green for years. Just no.

It used to have a hilarious effect on Rob Green though, he looked almost in tears when it was aimed at him at an away game against West Ham a few seasons ago

Seemed to wind him up though. Easily worth a couple of goals in that time.

You think Leicester scored goals against Rob Green because he had a song sung at him that he's probably heard at every ground he went to?

You actually think that?

Seriously, now?

I think Peltier made that happen.

I think it may have been a contributory factor to his performance on those days. I recall seeing him visibly affected by it at West Ham a few years ago (they won 3-2 in the end I think?). He was going crazy at our end after the final whistle.

By the same token I don't see the point in singing the IRA stuff at McClean because it clearly has no effect on him whatsoever, but if you can gain your team some kind of advantage by winding up their keeper then why not give a chant the odd burst?

Correct me if im wrong but we lost both games to West Ham when they were Championship and to QPR away in the PL which are all the games we've come up against Green since 2010. So yeah, we really showed him!

All smug when Jamie Vardy's having a party is belted out seconds later.

No its not embarrassing to sing it at Players(personally wouldn't be directing it at Vardy). When a lot of Leicester fans travel away with England and spend thousands in the process I think it's acceptable to let your feelings known towards the shit what we have just witnessed at Euro 2016.
