Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 To be clear this isn't a Ranieri out thread, I'm intrigued to see the general confidence levels in him.... is he unsackable? if we're in the bottom 3 in January is that it? Hopefully it's completely hypothetical and we win the next 5 games. and if you want my opinion it's not him who should be sacked even if we're bottom, it's the club snake who should be.....
Devonfox1884 Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 He doesn't leave, no matter what, unless he wants to. We owe him that at the very least.
Monsell1976 Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 He deserves as long as possible, or if he refuses to adapt and change, and this form see's not to end. Is he unsackable no, nobody is, and it's time he drops the players who are letting him down on a regular basis, instead of blindly defending them. If we are in the bottom 3 in Jan, as long as we appear to be performing, and look to be competing with teams, he stays, months of the same as we have seen, he goes.
MC Prussian Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 I think the title should read "How long are you going to give some of our fans?"
davieG Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 The problem is the team resources and fitness/stamina not the manager. Any replacement will face the same team problems hopefully in January he can get the players he wants like Silva and Keene or suitable alternatives to boost the squad in terms of quality, quantity and mental lift.
fox in the sox Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 I think if we end up in League One he should go.
Durnerz Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 We're just doing our objectives in reverse, relegation successfully avoided this season.
Argarath Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Ill give him forever, probs the best manager this club has had. Either we finish 10th this year or we go down to the championship. Get rid of deadweight overpaid players, and probs around 3 000 000 facebook "fans" and regroup from there. I believe in Claudio!!!
Corky Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 At least another week then get a Proper Football Man like Tim Sherwood in with the pashun he's got.
cc_star Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Is Benalouane worse than Huth? Why is one of the world's most gifted attacking players given defensive responsibility as a RW in a 442, where in any other 'top' club he'd be both playing off & feeding the front man Ranieri sticking with the same failed tactics week after week is why the results are the same week after week He is choosing to lose games, he is choosing to get thrashed by the big clubs and choosing to lose 2-1 to Hull, WBA & Watford by doing the same thing but expecting a different result Just woeful. The owners didn't come this far with us to throw away their stated 'regularly top 5 top 6 aim by being relegated. I wouldn't sack him but it's not my hundreds of millions at stake
J.Lisemore Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Until he absolutely loses the plot. Fans moan about players/managers not showing loyalty to their clubs yet fans are the first ones to jump on their backs when things aren't going perfectly. Patience.

sdb Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 We've been way worse than this. It's just a bit alarming given where we were so recently. See who we bring in during jan and watch the season unfold. As long as we stay up he's safe in my eyes, but getting this squad relegated would be pretty amazing in itself.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 He's a successful manager, so he's worth a lot more time for me. He's a clever guy tactically and in general, I think he will help us turn it around. I'm not worried about relegation, and we're good enough for a top half finish. That may sound a little too confident but I do feel we're going to go on a winning run at some stage. Same with West Ham. We will both pick up form and I can envisage us both advancing into higher positions over the course of the season.
Bayfox Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Just now, sdb said: Worked ok last season! Last season has gone. Something needs to change. Now for me that's not the manager. But the manager does need to make the changes.
Callabinho Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 It's the million dollar question that no one dares ask. Is he unsackable? I'd say no, but I don't think you'd find a Leicester fan would want him sacked. However, I love my club more than I love Claudio, and if our worst fears were starting to come to fruition I would seriously consider a change...problem is what to? Who would come? As the Copenhagen fans said..."you're not famous any more". Our below pre-season will hurt us in many more ways than just on the field..... We're a bit like that stunning bird you manage to land a date with only to find out she comes with baggage. Only a desperate washed up has been will want the job.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Don't think it's the manager to blame, it's the players, the highest paid players City have ever had, who are letting us down. They should be good enough to compete at the every least, but they are not.
Tielemans63 Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 This is the first sign of trouble since he took over and so he should be given plenty of time. However, if it gets to late Feb and we're in the bottom 3 then the owners have a very difficult decision to make. Luckily they are a lot more measured and patient than some of our fans are. They stuck by Pearson during some very rocky periods, I can't see them doing anything different with Claudio.
1972 Fox Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Claudio achieved something beyond our wildest dreams last season and for that we should be forever grateful. The slide this season in the league has been pretty alarming but he deserves time and patience from everyone. My ideal scenario is that he steadies the ship and stays until the end of next season (he might be happy to step down then anyway). We should then move heaven and earth to get Martin O'Neill back after the 2018 world cup.
Countryfox Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Can't believe what I read sometimes. His track record so far is ... polished up a pretty good team and won the league ... Nearly got us through the group stages of the Champions league without losing a game. Not bad so far ... And as yet the league is still young. We have rewarded and kept most of our best players and have been unlucky in getting in some we were after (eg Deeney, Keane, Silva) ... And have lost a potential hole filler (Mendy) in an area where we are light. We have some good young players who may well be stars of the future. We need to increase the ground size now and get some quality in during the January window. At the moment we aren't very pretty to watch but we KNOW that the real Leicester City is in there somewhere and will surface at some point. If not then I have every confidence that the Don will get it sorted.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 20 November 2016 Posted 20 November 2016 Only if it really goes to shit. If we look stranded and hopeless in March I'd consider it.
