Aus Fox Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Amongst all the doom and gloom of league form, let's spend some time in dream land. We have 6 teams who we could face in the last 16, who do we want? THe once in a life time glamour tie? Or the less glamorous, but if we gain some form and new signing or two winnable game. The options: PSG Benfica Byern Munich Bayer Leverkusen Dorrtmund (unless they get something in Madrid then Real Madrid) Sevilla/Lyon
Aus Fox Posted 7 December 2016 Author Share Posted 7 December 2016 I can't look past Byern Munich myself, would love to see Leicester out there playing one of the best teams in the world and if we win amazing, if we lose no embarrassment and what a story. boots60 Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Benfica, I'm in Lisbon now, wonderful city. Watched them lose to Napoli last night & they weren't that good.
Ted Maul Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 They really are amazing options. I'd say anyone other than Sevilla, as the rest are seriously easy to get to. My preference would be Munich or Dortmund, but could you imagine 10,000 Leicestarians descending on Paris? Madness.
ultrafox Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Benfica. With Bayern in the Quarter finals.

More than 10000 Leicesterians descended on Paris in 2000. Rugby Euro cup final Tigers vs Stade Francais. That was epic!
lgfualol Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Live near Munich so would be interesting if we were drawn with them. Expect a bloodbath whoever we get hehe
Ric Flair Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Leverkusen for me, we get a German atmosphere and the best chance of progressing out of the 3 German sides left in it. Aranguiz own goal.
Terraloon Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 I wouldn't be counting on anywhere near the numbers going , not that there wouldn't be demand. For instance the allocation should it be Bayern would be around 3,750 and PSG around 2500. The allocations for the CL are 5% of capacity for away supporters which is far less than is required in the FA cup.

MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 So far, we could get PSG Benfica Bayern München Bayer Leverkusen Borussia Dortmund/Real Madrid Juventus/Sevilla/Lyon I'd prefer Benfica, Leverkusen or Lyon as the "easiest" opponents (on paper), but let's not get carried away - it's going to be a tough ask to get a result against any of these teams. One can expect PSG, Bayern, Dortmund, Real, Juventus and Sevilla pulverize our Leicester squad to smithereens with relative ease.
Kitchandro Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Out of all of them I'd probably least prefer France. I mean let's be fair in a game of this magnitude it's going to be an incredible experience wherever we go but I wouldn't mind one of the Germans. Tuna Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 I'm torn between saying a winnable tie to see how far we can go, in spite of the complications it may bring to our desperate struggle for survival in the league, or a true glamour tie that we'll remember forever even if we are annihilated. I'd actually really like to face Juventus if I'm honest.

The compromise would be one of the true European giants who isn't one of the best sides in the competition- Benfica.
sylofox Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Got to be a German side and we rip em to bits and into the quarters. They deserve everything we throw at em. Them fvckers bombed Filbert St.
ZeGuy Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 Dortmund or Leverkusen since I live in Cologne. A real chance against Leverkusen if the team gets some reinforcements and Mendy is the guy he ought to be in the midfield.
cc_star Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 One thing more amazing than Dortmund would be beating someone and playing Dortmund later Chances of us beating anyone are minuscule though, we would need to be at last season's best to stand a chance against even the weaker sides
FireFox Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 So it would be beneficial for us if Madrid finish top, Dortmund 2nd? Right? Because if Madrid finish 2nd, they can't draw Barca or Atletico (or Dortmund). And Dortmund top would give Bayern a higher chance to draw us (though also a higher chance for Bayer to draw us). If Dortmund finish 2nd, they could draw anyone (but Madrid), so there would be a lower chance for them to draw us, compared to the chance Madrid would have of drawing us. RonnieTodger Posted 7 December 2016 Share Posted 7 December 2016 That PSG result annoyed me last night, I don't want us to get them. I'd rather we got Benfica or Leverkusen to give us half a chance at getting through. Theres no doubt Dortmund or Munich would be fantastic.
