Favourite Cover Version

Leona Lewis' Run originally done by Snow Patrol immediately comes to my mind.

Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah originally by Leonard Cohen.

Johnny Cash's version of Hurt, originally by Nine Inch Nails.

The latter moves me so much.

I definitely prefer it to NIN's version. The original just doesn't have anywhere near the same effect on me simply as a song as much as the Cash version does.

Have to remember exactly where Reznor was and his state of mind when he wrote the song, though. Throughout the creation of The Downward Spiral he was a trainwreck, a real, real mess. Taking everything into account it just makes NIN's version alot more powerful for me. That's not me being disrespectful to the Cash version though, which in itself is brilliant, great cover.
