The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Anyone know of any? Is this one would you say or is it in the other context? "Beneath Your Beautiful" (feat. Emeli Sandé)
jonthefox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Half these rap songs have shite grammer if you ask me.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Beneath Your Beautiful is correct. Would it not be 'Beneath You're Beautiful' ?
Webbo Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Would it not be 'Beneath You're Beautiful' ? Depends on the context surely?
Samilktray Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Not listening to music properly if you give a fvck about the grammar.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Depends on the context surely? I'm a sports student, I really have no clue!
DennisNedry Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson... ... although I think 'Since you have been gone' wouldn't fit the tune quite as well.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 May 2013 Author Posted 25 May 2013 Beneath Your Beautiful is correct. I'm struggling to think how?!
Webbo Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 I'm struggling to think how?! Your cracking tits are beneath your beautiful neck.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 May 2013 Author Posted 25 May 2013 Your cracking tits are beneath your beautiful neck. But the lyrics are, 'see beneath your beautiful'
Harry - LCFC Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 'beneath your beautiful' does make sense but it's artistic i.e. let me see beyond the attractive facade you put on and understand more about who you really are. That personality could be referred to as 'yours' as it is a possession. That's how I hear it whenever I listen to the song so it doesn't surprised to find that it's 'your' rather than 'you're' Even so, to say 'your beautiful' is sort of wrong because no-one can own 'a beautiful' as such.

I think beauty and perfection would be the two words, shortened a little to fit the tune, ie see beneath your beauty and see beneath your outer layer of perfection. Don't think that would be such a hit...
Guest Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 But the lyrics are, 'see beneath your beautiful' Does the word neck come after that?
