Narborough_fox Posted 7 April 2014 Share Posted 7 April 2014 Quote from the Daily Mail... Foxes in the hunt for Argentinian starlet ViettoNewly-promoted Leicester City are ready to contest with the big boys for Argentinian prospect Luciano Vietto. The 20-year-old, tipped to follow compatriots Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez to Europe, has a £7.5million buy-out clause but cash-strapped Racing Club are willing to accept around £6m with add-ons to ensure a sale this summer. Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been made aware of the 5ft 8in forward, who has scored two in his last three games and has a dual Italian passport. However, Leicester are also keen to speak to his representatives as they look to strengthen their squad in key areas early in the summer to prepare for their Premier League return. Mickyblueeyes Posted 7 April 2014 Share Posted 7 April 2014 I dont believe it but a sigining like this is not completely out of the question. I remember just before we signed Knockaert the media were sure he was sigining for Newcastle. Similiar situation to Tunchev in League One if I remember. Walsh not only has the knowledge but the contacts to make deals like this.
BMR Posted 7 April 2014 Share Posted 7 April 2014 so the rumours are starting already, 6m for this one and to beat Liverpool and Arsenal http://www.givemesport.com/451786-leicester-city-to-rival-liverpool-arsenal-for-6m-forward?autoplay=on Leicester City are planning a surprise bid for highly-rated Racing Club starlet Luciano Vietto, who has also attracted admiring glances from Arsenal and Liverpool. According to the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old forward has set his sights on a big-money move to Europe, and could arrive in England ahead of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on Vietto for some time, and was believed to be considering a bid to bring the player to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Brendan Rodgers has also been mooted as an admirer of the South American, as he too weighed up an attempt to lure the diminutive attacking midfielder to Anfield when the transfer window reopens in June. However, both Liverpool and Arsenal now look like missing out on the 5ft 8in youngster, with Championship leaders Leicester now leading the race for Vietto's signature. With a £7.5million buy-out clause written into his current contract, Racing Club were always at risk of losing one of their star performers, and the fact the Argentinian outfit are in a precarious financial situation only increases the likelihood of Vietto's departure. With two goals in his past three games, the forward looks to be finishing the season on a high, and could earn himself that lucrative Premier League move, with his asking price believed to stand at around £6million. Blanesta Posted 7 April 2014 Share Posted 7 April 2014 He sounds good, I can't see how anyone would know who's leading the race to sign him. This next transfer window will be crazy. I hope we spend wisely.
