DangerFox Posted 15 April 2014 Share Posted 15 April 2014 Mine was ooh Tommy Wright. I was 7, and it was 1989 and I just remember him running up the wing! Unfortunately it was under David Pleat. (Can you believe I first started to support LCFC under Pleat) I was gutted when he left for Middlesboro!

ceredigion Posted 15 April 2014 Share Posted 15 April 2014 Easy question for me. David Buchanan. He made his City debut at the tender age of 16 (he might still be our youngest ever debutant) on New Year's Day 1979 against Oldham in the 2nd Division. He scored on his debut in a 2-0 win along with another City player, the late Bobby Smith, who also scored. Jock Wallace was throwing youth into the fray in that game and a third player also made his City debut. A certain Gary Lineker if I recall, but he was completely upstaged that day. Obviously we all remember Dave Buchanan, but that Lineker fellow, now what became of him I wonder?

Wasn't so heroic when he dived in that play off final...I still believe to this day the ref took a back hander from Jack Walker before that game! Muzzy Izzet or Neil Lennon for me.
