DangerFox Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 I can't get tickets for the last 2 games of the season! I really wanted to go to the Huddesfield and Doncaster games! I know some will say, well you should be a season ticket holder etc. but until this year I've always played football myself on Saturdays and this year I stopped playing mostly and started going to LCFC games. I would say I've been to probably a 1/3 if not 1/2 of the games this year. And next year I have decided to retire from the game as my back won't allow me anymore, so I'm getting a season tickets. Nothing I can do I know, I'm just having a moan, I just would have been apart of celebrations as I've been there most of the season. I even went to the Brighton game when the party was silenced by the police and the fact that we lost terribly! All the season ticket holders have bought extra tickets for people who probably haven't been this season. Anyway, moan over!
Dan LCFC Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 As wrong as it may seem, the best way of preventing this in future may be to ask a season ticket holder mate if they can get you one.
Aus Fox Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 Get a ticket in the Donny end, a bit of reverse sleeping with the enemy if you like
Jonaldinho Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 I think Doncaster will be returning some of their allocation, and those seats will be given to our fans. Just make sure you're first in line when they go on sale.
davieG Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 I suspect a large proportion of the ST holders that have bought the extra tickets have bought them for people like you, I certainly have the people that have mine have been ST holders for years but due to them both becoming Dads are no longer able to go to every game but have been to a fair few this season including all the evening games. It's a shitty situation but the club obviously feels that from a business aspect getting as many ST holders to pay up front is the best option and actions like this will only increase the likelihood of more ST holders although I guess with our promotion they would go up anyway. I suspect they're hoping to get 20K+ ST so that it matches our lowest average gates .
MrSpaM Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 Considering they are only selling one ticket per season ticket for the Huddersfield game I don't think your moan is very well thought out in all honesty. They are only selling two per season ticket for the Doncaster game as well.

But that's their right for ST holders to buy for others regardless of whether they've been or not. I appreciate it may be annoying to you but a ST holder benefit every now and again is part of what encourages people to buy them. Hope you manage to get a ticket from the returned Donny allocation if that happens
Jakemoore Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 Get one in the Donny end as close to the segregation as possible! As soon as the final whistle goes their fans will leave and you can join in with us!

CosbehFox Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 The Donny game should have been people with a booking history of this season first. However, you can understand the logic. It is in effect advertising the benefits of buying a ST.

I'm hoping there will be some left come general sale, but I'm not going to to throw my toys out of the pram if there isn't. It's just the pecking order isn't it... and it makes sense.
