crisp monster Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 Last September I lost my great mate and fellow season ticket holder Neil Palmer due to a stroke aged 39. For me, this night and season is for Neil and all the other City fans, of all ages that never quite made it to this point. It's been a great season and it's time to celebrate but I know the Donny game will be very emotional for me and quite a few others. I hope the're all having a pint ( and a fag in Neil's case) in some bar in heaven. God bless them all Leicester till we die
StanSP Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 I remember you mentioning what happened around then. Here's to all the fans who celebrated in their own way, either at the match or not. And here's to your pal, Neil.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 22 April 2014 Share Posted 22 April 2014 I always used to phone my nanna after big City or cricket results. Little did I know that Knocky's winner at Forest would be the last time. But the rest of my family will all be ecstatic tonight.

gloucesterfox Posted 23 April 2014 Share Posted 23 April 2014 Last night had me thinking of going to matches with my Grandad who took me to Filbert Street through the end of the Matt Gillies era, through the time Frank O'Farrell was at the City and most of the Bloomfield era until I could go to matches on my own. He would have enjoyed some of the football and certainly the results this year.

Vlad the Fox Posted 23 April 2014 Share Posted 23 April 2014 My mum. She was a die hard and fanatical fan who instilled the passion in me. One of my earliest football memories is of her leading me, an awestruck 9 year old, across the filbert street pitch celebrating promotion against burnley. She'll be up there decked out in blue leading everyone in a chorus of 'we love you leicester'.

Bayfox Posted 23 April 2014 Share Posted 23 April 2014 Slight aside. I'm the only real leicester infact football fan in my immediate family. So the fact I have some great mates to share the football with is great. I'm not one for real emotion but I do love my small group of city fan mates. Being at southend and bolton has been a privilege I have shared with those close to me at 3pm(ko time exempt). So to all posting. Firstly I envy you for having those closest to you to share it with. Hopefully my boy will follow my footsteps. Secondly I'm sure all the people mentioned will be sat up there with a huge smile. I hope for anyone who has lost anyone during this season a title adds a touch to a bad year. Rip all fellow foxes.
