Dan LCFC Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 Read earlier that Burnley are after Deeney for £6.5mil? Imagine the irony of them calling us big spending as they go and make a transfer that beats our transfer record.
One Legged Beaver Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 Surely striker is the position in which they least need to splash the cash?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 Bet 365 currently have us in the three to be relegated. As far as I can see, Burnley, then QPR, then us. Things could change, but that's how it stands now. Can't really complain, it's like that for most newly promoted clubs.

Imagine the irony of them calling us big spending as they go and make a transfer that beats our transfer record. I think in the current market £6.5 million for Deeney is a decent enough deal, especially when we've been quoted £7-10 million for Ulloa and Fulham have just spent £11 million on McCormack. He'd definitely be an upgrade on Vokes.

Jonaldinho Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 Vokes is out for the first couple of months of the season after doing his knee against us, Barnes is only decent even at Championship level, and Ings is unproven at PL level (although I think he'll do fine) so they could do with another striker. Guest ttfn Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 Absolute nonsense. you wouldn't be saying that if he wasn't welsh. Since getting out of jail (!) Deeney has scored 43 goals in 84 championship games and Vokes 24 in 83. Not to mention he's not going to miss the start of the season with knee ligament damage. Wrong, I might be. "Absolute nonsense"? Grandadian hyperbole.

Guest ttfn Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 If Grandad is still banned from this topic there is actually an opening for somebody taking offence at any mention of a particular player, whether he be a Liverpool player, or, perhaps, Welsh? It's a tough job though. Are you prepared to stick your neck out and call Andy King better than Pirlo? Because if not, you can get in the bin son. Finnegan Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 If you'd take Andrea Pirlo over Joe Allen you can get off my forum son.
kingfox Posted 9 July 2014 Share Posted 9 July 2014 I see Swansea have bidded for Deeney, and not completed a deal for Castiagnos yet. Probably lining up Deeney instead. Which means Castiagnos can still come to Leicester

Corky Posted 10 July 2014 Share Posted 10 July 2014 Lloris has signed a new five year contract at Spurs. Good work by them, fine keeper who deserves a better defence than the one he has currently got.
foxfanazer Posted 10 July 2014 Share Posted 10 July 2014 Arsenal have completed the signing of Alexis Sanchez. What a great signing that is! Looking forward to seeing players like him at the KP next season

One Legged Beaver Posted 10 July 2014 Share Posted 10 July 2014 Decent signing by them if he was bought as the main striker. I would imagine it means that Barcelona will be making a big signing, therefore probably Suarez.

StanSP Posted 10 July 2014 Share Posted 10 July 2014 Superb signing. Great option to have as an attacking midfielder. Rosicky, Ozil, Sanchez, Ramsey, Walcott, Cazorla, Oxlade. Not bad!

AKCJ Posted 10 July 2014 Share Posted 10 July 2014 Glad Alexis has come to the Premier League, one of my favourite players at the moment. Hope for his sake that he gets to play up front, he's score a **** load behind Cazorla, Ozil and Ramsey.
