Captain... Posted 1 September 2014 Share Posted 1 September 2014 Great to see so many internationals in the squad, but I wonder if Wes is starting to regret finding his reggae roots, I am sure it is a great honour to represent a country, but he could probably do without a 16 hour round trip to Toronto to play with his "compatriots". He won't get back until Wednesday at the earliest with the most important game of the season on Saturday, and having made that trip a couple of times it takes it out of you. From a purely selfish point of view I wouldn't mind if he retired from international football already.

Captain... Posted 5 September 2014 Share Posted 5 September 2014 Looks like Moore played the full 90 in a 1-0 over Lithuania U21, but he doesn't get a mention in the BBC write up: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29047087 Sky sports had him at LB, but then they had M. Keane at RB and Garbutt who played LB against us as CB. They had 3 Centre backs and Garbutt on the pitch so Moore could have been RB. with those players I would have lined up Garbutt Keane Gibson Moore Don't know much about Gibson or Garbutt, can anyone confirm where Moore played? Lestoh Posted 5 September 2014 Share Posted 5 September 2014 Interesting to note that Moore actually played LB in that game. Could eventually end up being our cover on the left should Konch get injured, although I think I'd rather pull back Schlupp.

He's probably regretting it more because he could have been in with a shout of an England call up this season! But then again, Jamaica are probably better. bald reynard Posted 6 September 2014 Share Posted 6 September 2014 A total of seven Foxes will be in international action over the next two weeks as the Barclays Premier League takes a back seat to the international programme. Elsewhere Andy King will join up with Wales, who head straight into their qualifying campaign with a difficult trip to Andorra on 9 September in the New National Stadium. Chris Coleman’s side have been drawn in Group B for the qualifying campaign, alongside the likes of Belgium and Bosnia-Herzogivina. Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/010914-foxes-set-for-international-action-1890395.aspx#1x7xAOpV7ZShvM1L.99 Davie, I think we also have to add Tom Lawrence, who has been called up to the full Welsh squad for this week. I doubt he'll start, but I bet he's on the bench in Andorra.
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 6 September 2014 Share Posted 6 September 2014 Going purely by the shirt numbers I'd guess Moore and Gibson were at CB
Finnegan Posted 6 September 2014 Share Posted 6 September 2014 Davie, I think we also have to add Tom Lawrence, who has been called up to the full Welsh squad for this week. I doubt he'll start, but I bet he's on the bench in Andorra. If we're a couple up by the time we're due to make changes, I'd be surprised if he doesn't come on for Bale. We'll never admit it publicly but we'll be expected to keep the star man safe and everyone's paranoid about a 3G surface. Plus, the FAW and Chris Coleman will both want to tie Lawrence down to Wales. Finnegan Posted 6 September 2014 Share Posted 6 September 2014 That said, Robson Kanu is injured and we're very light on wingers playing a country with a side about as good as Hartlepool. So it occurs to me there's an outside chance either Lawro or George Williams could start.

bald reynard Posted 6 September 2014 Share Posted 6 September 2014 Hope Schlupp has a better game than he did before with Ghana He was given the run around so much by Arjen Robben, that he wasn't picked for the final WC squad. Mind you, it was Robben - I'm sure Uganda won't have anyone as good !
