Ex-Leicester City player news

Recommended Posts

Signed a 3 year deal when he moved, so he's still there at the moment. Probably loan or sell him though, he barely featured last year and was loaned to Birmingham.

Is he still shít (off a shovel)

could have an impact???

Expecting to see what Pearson, Hopper and Smith are getting up to in this thread next season!

Hopper would have made millions setting up his specialty porn site 'rimkings.com' and starring in over 200 videos.

Ian Baraclough,ex city player and Leicester born and bred kept Motherwell up today beating Rangers 6-1 on aggregate

I think that is a bit of an exaggeration. He was on our books for three years and never kicked a ball in anger. Well done him though.

Nowadays, he'd be labelled a Premier League Star with that record.

I was told yesterday that an ex City player Dave Tomlin had died. Think he was of the Jock Wallace era. Used to see him in the Crown Nuneaton when I went over there. He  liked  his drink and  had problems with his legs. He was before they paid silly money  so  so ended up a sad old  broke ex footballer. Not sure how many games he played or when he died as I have not been over there for over a year.

Only played a handful of games under  Bloomfield. He is on a Panini sticker 74 though. Can't see when he died.  April 2011 age 72  Longer than I  though since I've been in the Crown. Can't have been too long after the last time I went in that he died.

Adecent team about that time. Worthington  weller Glover Lockhead Woolett

I think Dave played in the first game I went to as Glover was injured. In those days if you were not in the first 11, it was difficult to break into the team as there was only one sub, and teams were quite fixed. Sad he has gone, always remember him.

Sad to hear the news about David Tomlin. I saw him play a few times for City, thought he was going to be a big player for us. I remember that he tore the West Ham defence apart and left Bobby Moore on his backside in one of his best games for us. I was very surprised when he left for Torquay. RIP

Leicester's greatest ever left-back (in his own head, at least), Joe Mattock signed for Rotherham today having been released by Sheffield Wednesday.

Scunthorpe, Cambridge, Lincoln his next 3 teams.

It's so satisfying to see his career demise like it has done. I don't normally wish ill on our own academy products but Mattock was a drop drawer **** and thought he'd made it long before he could ever claim to have done.

He's still only 25 as well. He must look at where we are and think "I was a youth player alongside Andy King... I could have been in the same squad as him now. How much of a pr1ck was I?"

Well no. He is probably incapable of such introspection.

So Steve Walsh lost his twitter (couldn't log in or whatever) a while back and made a new one, but was trying to get his old one back. And he now has it back again with all of his followers... partially thanks to none other than the one true voice of the fans, Sean from Enderby.
