14/15 Season Anticipation & Predictions

Recommended Posts

Couple of weeks to go until our Premier League campaign begins; the boredom is consuming me so I thought about which players I am looking forward to watching next season.

From an LCFC point of view I am desperate to watch Drinkwater turn heads with his displays. Obviously Mahrez, Knockeart and Vardy to an extent get me excited but Drinkwater will grab the headlines imo.

From other teams, I am looking forward to seeing Sanchez of Arsenal play the most; a prestigious talent.

The ground I am looking forward to visiting is Goodison Park, a proper ground with passionate support and a good product on show.

My predictions:

1 - Chelsea

2 - Arsenal

3 - Man City

4 - Man Utd

14 - CITY

18 - Swansea

19 - Burnley

20 - Wba

FA Cup - Liverpool

Capital One Cup - Man City

Champions League - Bayern Munich

Europa League - Shaktar Donetsk

How does this compare to others?

Jesus, looking at the state of the league this year anyone in the bottom 8 could finish anywhere. Expect West Ham to have a bad one this season, Allardyce will do well to last past September given the stick he's getting from West Ham fans.

I think Chelsea will win it this year. Might be close though. United be back with a shout in top four, and I can honestly see Tottenham being the surprise team in one of those top four places. Doubt Liverpool will be as good as they were last season, though as always I'd like to see either Liverpool or Arsenal win it.

Relegation, I'd go for West Brom and Burnley. Hull might drop given their feature in Europe and though Southampton have lost many players I can't see them getting relegated, but you never know. Aston Villa will somehow survive as always.

I'm confident in Nigel and confident that we can achieve somewhere between 14th and 17th.

Top four will remain the same in terms of personnel, but Chelsea second and Liverpool third. Fifth, sixth and seventh will be Everton, Spurs and Man United, Southampton could've challenged as they were significantly the best of the rest but obviously having been totally ripped apart, won't replicate last season.

The rest of the league is very open, most have the potential to go down. Currently, I think WBA, Villa and Burnley will drop, with ourselves 15th.

I'm useless at these predictions...

5. Everton

6. Man Utd

7. Spurs

8. Newcastle

9. Sunderland

10. Crystal Palace

15. Hull

16. Aston Villa

17. West Ham

18. Burnley

19. West Brom

20. QPR

Finding it really tough to predict. For some reason I get a feeling Sunderland are going to have a good season, Chelsea despite all their signings won't gel quick enough and Man City will have the lead pretty much all season. Man Utd to do better, but not as good as they'd hope. Southampton get lucky with a few new signings to see them stay up with ease. Villa and West Ham to stay up by the skin of their teeth. Burnley and West Brom to just be relegated, QPR relegated in April. Leicester to be inconsistent, but a few shock wins and looking safe by mid-March
