Manwell Pablo Posted 5 August 2014 Share Posted 5 August 2014 A little early I admit but given the mighty hoops could go crashing out tomorrow night it's as good a time as any. I think they'll struggle to turn it around like they did against Karagandy last year.
Dan LCFC Posted 5 August 2014 Share Posted 5 August 2014 They're playing a better side and they're even further behind. They're going.
ScouseFox Posted 5 August 2014 Share Posted 5 August 2014 so the competitive element of celtic's season is going to end before the actual season has even started. going to be a boring year for them.
Dan LCFC Posted 5 August 2014 Share Posted 5 August 2014 Betting tomorrow is barely worth it. I was going to stick a decent amount on Zenit and RB Salzburg but it's barely even worth it. I would howl if Salzburg are sent packing by a team from Azerbaijan. They're 2-1 down from the first leg as well. Zenit similarly are behind from the first leg and I can't even remember who to. It could well have been the same side who beat Celtic in the first leg last year.

Yeah think it is (Shaktar Karagandy) Scotland have had a mare in general in Europe, looking like every team will be out before the domestic season's even kicked off, they're going to drop like a stone in the rankings. Dan LCFC Posted 5 August 2014 Share Posted 5 August 2014 It's a Cypriot team actually, not Shakhter. Even so I cannot see Zenit going out to them, I'll probably watch it. Scotland over-achieve in general in my opinion. It's mad that a country of their population has two clubs of that size.

RowlattsFox Posted 6 August 2014 Share Posted 6 August 2014 Do they drop into the Europa league now? Not really followed what happens to the teams knocked out at this stage before. Not a good start for the new boss.
CosbehFox Posted 6 August 2014 Share Posted 6 August 2014 Looking at the teams through. Going to be some weak champions into the groups. Red Bull should finally make it. Going to be a couple of cracking qualifiers too depending on who Bilbao and Lille draw out.

Super_horns Posted 7 August 2014 Share Posted 7 August 2014 Are they too big for that? That new manager got off to a bad start saying Celtic should not have to qualify...only motivated the opposition.
Steve_Walsh5 Posted 7 August 2014 Share Posted 7 August 2014 Celtic might be reinstated back in the champions league as Legia Warsaw fielded an inelgible player.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 August 2014 Author Share Posted 7 August 2014 Celtic might be reinstated back in the champions league as Legia Warsaw fielded an inelgible player. I'd say there isn't much of a might about it, player in question was suspended and played, lucky lucky fukers, player in question only came on for the last two minutes as well what a over sight to make. EDIT: Apparently UEFA have let similar offences go before according to the BBC article on the subject though so we'll see.
Captain... Posted 8 August 2014 Share Posted 8 August 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28701951 Reinstated, but only just awarded a 3-0 walk over win and squeaked through on away goals. Warsaw must feel pretty stupid.

maddog Posted 8 August 2014 Share Posted 8 August 2014 http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/28701951 So they are murdered in both legs, 6-1 down on aggregate and Warsaw bring on an ineligible player for 2 minutes when 6-1 ahead... What a joke!
Fox92 Posted 8 August 2014 Share Posted 8 August 2014 lol I'm pleased, mind... It's just weird, but that's the rule regardless of what time/score it is.
Beliall Posted 8 August 2014 Share Posted 8 August 2014 i dont know, its more stupid of legia tbh, and really lucky for celtic, legia should be disq, and celtic seem the obvious choice to replace them, 6-1 or 1-

Samilktray Posted 8 August 2014 Share Posted 8 August 2014 Didn't the lad come on for the last few minutes? Be surprised if he even touched the ball, let alone influenced the result. Daft decision
