Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship

Went to visit the Ruhrstadion on Thursday.

Does seem smaller in real life than it actually is and it makes you wonder how they pack 20'000+ people on a matchday.

It's a bit tacky, both on the inside and the outside. A very odd concrete shape.

 

Union Berlin's ground, who has less capacity, seems bigger - but maybe it's down to the more modern main stand.

 

Still, lovely people at Bochum - you get that sense of the community still deeply rooted in the mining history; hands-on folks, straightforward and honest.

Very likeable. Plus, it's blue and white. And they're doing rather well so far this season (never mind the 3-0 loss at KSC tonight).

Been present both times the Bochum lads have been over and safe to say I'm buzzing for my first trip over there in Feb. Great bunch of lads who really know their football and have real love for LCFC.
