Trav Le Bleu Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 I think that everyone has already talked about this. You either love it, or you're embarrassed by it.
Finnegan Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 Obviously not because a lot of people appear to want to do it. When people no longer find it fun they'll stop. Who are "you" or "we" to "get rid" of it, exactly? Is someone going to ban it? And why stop? If it's because other fans are taking the piss then definitely not. I personally have never done it, I think it's pointless and I don't think it contributes to the atmosphere. But it isn't harming anyone and who am I to tell THOUSANDS of people what they should be doing? Stopping because you don't like being judged by rival fans is infinitely more embarrassing than doing it. Have some self respect.
savillefoxes Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 With how many city fans were doing it why get rid.
Fox92 Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 I don't do it, and never will, but I think it's stupid. Should we get rid? Well, it's up to the people that do it.

Finnegan Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 Think it looks pathetic when only about 3 blocks do it That's three whole blocks of the ground, though. That's thousands of people. All enjoying doing it. Why stop?
Carlos88LCFC Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 When I saw it on tv it seemed more "laugh at" than "laugh with"... But each to their own.

Hugo Sanchez Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 Should stop now, Man City in the cup was ok but it's past it sell by the date. That said, we're probably the only club to still do the errrrrr Twat you're shit ahhhhh.

PAPA LAZAROU Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 I think we should contact every city supporter who does it and tell them FOXESTALK have had a poll and that we don't approve. That should do it.
Kitchandro Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 I've no idea why people continue to do it. Surely they can't still enjoy it? There's absolutely nothing spontaneous about it. It's just way too organised to be enjoyable. It's like goal music.
LJS Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 I think it's crap but if people like doing it I don't have an issue. I do have an issue with the stadium bouncing up and down though. Convinced the bastard thing is going to collapse underneath me at some point.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 But there's alot of people on post on here who sit in L and K block and that's where it's popular. The drum is the worst thing, I don't get why we need a drum. Reminds me of Blackburn.
AndWhat? Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 I think it's cringe why we do it. But I think it actually looks pretty good.

The drum is the worst thing, I don't get why we need a drum. Reminds me of Blackburn. I sit in C2, diagonally opposite the away fans, do miles away from L1. From there, the atmosphere is always better with the drum. Quite simply, the block can't be trusted to inspire itself to sing without it. I'm not saying that in itself isn't part of a/the problem but it's true all the same.

ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 It will look really embarrassing if we do it against Man City. However if we score a last minute equaliser/winner against them it will be worth doing for comedy value!

Nope agree completely that L1 are reliant on the drum to get the atmosphere going. Just a mystery why they can't live without it. I remember when Jobber didn't go once and L1 were lost. Surely being next to the away fans would be easy to get songs going. Maybe it just the day and age, seems alot of wannabes in L1 who wear the gear but don't actually sing or know any of the chants. Nalis Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 Its cringe and not even original as we stole it off Man City, a team that stole it off Poznan. Could you imagine the stick we would give Derby/Forest if they did this instead of us? If it was original to us then fine, but its not.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 Look, it's no good caring what other fans think..If you want to do it then feel free. At the end of the day, it's not even important and it's just a bit of fun. Don't call your own fans embarrassing. If people keep calling each over embarrassing then we will have a ground with no atmosphere at all.
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 17 August 2014 Share Posted 17 August 2014 Whether you like it or hate it, its probably here to stay this season, in which case i want to see it many times! If we do alright this year, if anything it may become more popular as goals certainly feel more special in the Premier league. If the whole ground ended up doing it, that would be a sight to behold.
