pSinatra Posted 10 September 2014 Share Posted 10 September 2014 Good to see some some not so well known artists, but unfortunately the Mercury Prize means less & less each year

Didnt rate Albarns solo album much, saw Royal Blood live recently and they were decent enough.Winning the Mercury prize can be a burden sometimes, whatever happened to Speech Debelle? Fox92 Posted 11 September 2014 Share Posted 11 September 2014 Only heard of three of them. Saw Royal Blood support Arctic Monkeys though, and they were surprisingly decent.
Rocket-Ron Posted 11 September 2014 Share Posted 11 September 2014 In truth it's a shit award. Possibly the best British music award there is! Just poorly presented.

filbertway Posted 11 September 2014 Share Posted 11 September 2014 Royal Blood, Jungle and FKA Twigs' efforts all get the thumbs up from me. That's good enough for me to check out FKA Twigs on spotify. Loved Jungles album, not heard the whole of Royal Blood's but if the second half is as good as the first half and the singles I've heard then I'm a fan.
