Wasilewski

morgan is the captain and has been one of our best players so isn't getting dropped. so i'm guessing people want him in for moore? could see the pros and cons for either tbf. bringing in wasyl will hopefully make us more intimidating, better at defending set pieces and his experience may well lead to a steadier back line. but he lacks pace and he can sometimes be a bit rash (not a bad thing if he continues to not get caught).

wouldn't be overjoyed or upset if he was brought in. would be excited to see his first tackle though.

Think Morgan and Moore have done well so far, itss Simpson who i think needs to start

I agree with this. Morgan and Moore strength at the back has saved us many goals so far. RDL and Konch's inadequate performances over the last few games are one of the main reasons we have taken 1/9 points. Simpson might be the stronger, more defensively solid option for the next few games at least. Konchesky will probably be replaced in January or at the end of the season when his contract is up but I'd definitely keep Morgan and Moore playing together.

Besides swansea away would be a bad game to put Wasilewski in on given the pace of some of their forward players like Dyer, Bony and Monterro.

Not sure this weekend although Moore looked very off the pace against Newcastle but I'd certainly be considering him alongside Morgan for the more physical games.

Been on holiday so missed the Burnley game and was at weddings for both Palace and Newcastle games so couldn't watch or listen, but with how many goals we're conceding and only one clean sheet tells me something in the back five needs to be changed.

We've let in 13, 8 teams have conceded the same or more, three have conceded 1 less (including Liverpool and United), 4 have conceded 2 less (including Arsenal, West Ham, Spurs).  It's not like we're letting them in drastically more than most teams.

Always room for improvement, but I would think right back at this moment would be the first to change.

I am a fan of Wasyl but I'm not sure Morgan or Moore have done anything that warrants being dropped. Also I'm not sure whether Wasyl has played at all since last season, possibly in Development games so I certainly don't think it's the correct time to start him yet.

I was going to mentioned how Liam could have been at fault for quite a few goals already this season back I can;t be arsed with the backlash lol

Why though? You're right.

Morgan/Moore/Wasilewski chopping and changing won't make a positive difference because they're all too similar. All relatively short, all slow(ish), they all like to fly in for a block and none of them are particularly good on the ball and none of them are absolutely dominant in the air.

Having a backline of Konch, Morgan, Wasyl and Simpson would make us so defensive and flat, inviting more pressure on us and more negative which is the opposite of what we want.

It's the midfield that's the problem in a defensive sense.

Seen nothing wrong with Morgan and Moore to suggest another defender should play. I can't see Wasilewski being up with the pace either, picking up needless yellow cards. Thing is with Moore, he's the only centre half with a bit of pace.

Not scoring enough goals is as big a problem if not more so. As our game philosophy is to attack we were bound to concede a goal or two but it should have bought us goals against Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

We have the same number of clean sheets as Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham! Burnley have three and look where they are!

West ham had one of the highest ones in the league last year but they play horrible football but I'm sure lots of people wouldn't have a problem of just surviving this season.

Burnley don't have any attacking options for this league. If we can keep a clean sheet, we don't have a problem scoring unlike Burnley.
