Match Ratings : Swansea 2-0 Leicester - Vote Now

Recommended Posts

Anyone who gives the majority of this team over a 2 should pay a visit specscavers.com asap. Not a kneejerk reaction, I knew this game over when the desperate triple substitutions were made all the way at 65 minutes.

No drive. Nothing. Feel so bad for the supporters. Roundtrips to Newcastle and Swansea to see this garbage again and again must be emotionally taxing.

Referee was generally very, very lenient on us. We got away with a lot of handballs, particularly Drinkwater.

Swansea weren't great. They used our continuous 'pass it sideways and back and then hoof it up hoping for the best' game to their advantage with their counterattacks but that was it. Their passing movements were all over us in the first half but nothing much in the second half.

Wes Morgan my MOTM because he seemed like the only one who actually cared about today.

I am very, very worried about our performances from today and Newcastle. We're 2 places above relegation with the other teams having a game in hand.

You disgust me.

My mistake, I gave one player a two. 'Very poor' seemed to describe most people better than 'Dismal' or 'Shocking'. Those words should be reserved for a four or five niller, don't you think?

I'm not defending the performance but I do think some people are aggressively negative at times. If you go straight to the bottom ratings for every defeat there's no room left to express your disappointment for the really bad games.

This was a really bad game. Just because we lost 2-0 doesn't mean we didn't have a disaster. You don't have to be a genius to realize Swansea laid back after their first goal because they already knew we had no potential today.

I thought 3-0 to Swansea, who were decent IMO, would've been a fair reflection of the game. If you agree with that don't think you can say it's lowest of the low (i.e. deserving of 1's and 2's).

Schmeichel 4 - couldn't do anything about either goal but almost gifted them another with one of the worst clearances in the history of football.

De Laet 4 - I thought that he had Montero under control for the most part. As I've said elsewhere I don't think he comes out of the 2nd goal with much credit but it certainly wasn't his fault primarily. Passing was atrocious.

Morgan 5 - Looked shaky but made a vital tackle to spare Schmeichel's blushes.

Moore 2 - Absolutely crap. If he spent more time working on keeping a straight defensive line rather than straightening his hair we might have had a sniff today.

Konchesky 5 - meh.

Hammond 4 - exactly what you'd expect from Dean Maria. He tries his best but he has looked massively out of his depth in all but 3 games this season. Shouldn't even be in the 18 for me.

Drinkwater 4 - doesn't look remotely at home at this level. Choice of passing was both incredibly negative and incredibly brainless.

Mahrez 5 - flashes of a 9/10 performance and flashes of a 1. Gave de Laet very little help, gave the ball away more than anyone (which was some achievement) and had 2 or 3 good shots from range.

Nugent 2 - barely noticed he was playing. Pathetic.

Vardy 4 - ran around a bit in the first half and looked threatening. Never once had an opportunity to run at Swansea.

Ulloa 4 - mediocre hold up play and I'm struggling to see where this talk that he's a hard worker is coming from. We don't press any more and it's a shame because it was good to watch (probably not his fault).

Subs:

James 4 - offered nothing.

Cambiasso 5 - would have been a 6 but for that ridiculous miss. He knocked it around nicely.

King 7 - the only one who looked like making anything happen.

Like i said in the post match thread

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why people say things about our opponents (Newcastle the week before), Swansea this week, and people come out with comments that say they "were nothing special" or "not that good". Good grief, Swansea cruised past us in 1st gear today, and even then they played attractive slick football in spells. And as i said in the post match thread, if Swansea are "not that good" or "nothing special" that must make us incredibly poor on this evidence.

Kasper 4 What was he doing for that clearance?! Lucky for him Morgan was switched on

De Laet 4 So bad in possession and at fault for the second. Worst game he's had this season

Morgan 6 Great tackle on Sigurdsson. Thought he did ok

Moore 5 Not bad but maybe couldn have done better for the second goal

Konchesky 4 Awful

Mahrez 5 So weak and wasteful in possession first half. Improved second.

Drinkwater 4 Not himself. Wasteful in possession

Hammond 3 Weak. Never ever good enough. Not fit to lace James' boots

Vardy 4 Not his fault as he's not a winger but he was never in the game. I'd still have left him on ahead of Nugent though

Nugent 3 Waste of space. Getting quite tired of seeing him actually. Just no threat at all. Not a Premiership player.

Ulloa 5 Felt sorry for him as he had no service. Crying out for someone decent to play alongside him, and a natural winger to supply some crosses into him.

Cambiasso 6 Probably our best player. Played some neat passes.

King 6 Thought he did better than the midfielders he replaced and had a go

James 5 Hardly had the ball but he's still a far better player than Hammond

What's happened?
