Mark_w Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 I'm quite interested in doing my own little survey. What is the lowest position you'd be satisfied with Leicester achieving? Where are Leicester City in the table? (Hint: We're 17th) Pearson: Stay or Go?
The Doctor Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Mahrez and James - 7's, both looked full of promise. Vardy and Ulloa - 4, both looked pretty poor, the rest 6. Referee, 1, only because 0 wasn't available. For a penalty and 2 reds in 2 minutes to be ignored takes a sensational lack of competence.
kingfox Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Schmeichel 7 - Some good saves today De Laet 7 - Stuck to his task, and didn't get torn apart, improvement Morgan 9 - Colossal, looked very solid Wasilewski 9 - Like Wes, very solid performance Konchesky 7 - Stuck to his task, consistent performance Mahrez 7 - Good first half, became tired as the match progressed James 7 - Good all round midfield performance, drove forward well Cambiasso 7 - Few sloppy passes, but some excellent one's as well Schlupp 6 - Did nothing wrong, just a bit quiet at times Vardy 5 - Ran his socks off, but some of his decision making was shocking Ulloa 6 - Showed glimpses of quality, but seeing him move out to the wing to retrieve the ball is frustrating

So last week people would have been in their right mind to want Pearson gone if they thought 17th was the lowest acceptable position but after a 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland they should change their minds? Hint: it's not as binary as you're suggesting.

But to call for his head while we're exactly where people said they'd be happy for us to finish is particularly stupid.

Danno Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Schmeichel 6 De Laet - 5 - Awful defender and awful going forward too. Wasyl - 7 - Great as usual, much better than Moore. Morgan 7 - standard Konchesky 6 - meh Mahrez - 6 - No end product as usual. James 7 - played well Cambiasso - 7 - see James. Schlupp 6 - did alright. Vardy - 5 - tried but not premier league standard at all. Need to buy a proper striker in january or it's championship next season i'm afraid. Ulloa - 5.5 - a threat but not up to his past standards Subs: Nugent - 4 - Absolutely fvcking awful player. How we still have him here is baffling. Wood - 4 - Waste of space Knockaert - ?? Didnt get on the ball enough

Wood 3 Knockaert

foxinsox Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Wasilewski MOTM Wes, Was and Kasper deserve some credit for a clean sheet. The whole team looked more comfortable with 442. Strikers ineffectual at best. Heavily marked but failing to link up well with midfield. James and Mahrez were source of threat. Both Schlupp and Mahrez looked flat later on, perhaps suffering from international duty. Subs on too late to really judge, but Knockheart is better on right wing than left, and Mahrez more effective on left. Tactics better, though need someone other than James taking set pieces and corners (perhaps Cambo?) As too little power in the delivery and too predictable. Good to be out of the dropzone even if only for one day. Lets make QPR suffer next Saturday.
Dan LCFC Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Pearson - 5. Would've been higher if his subs weren't so ineffective, but his selection was much more like it. Schmeichel - 7. Our MOTM. Couple of very decent saves. De Laet - 5. Questionable distribution, not really noticeable. Morgan - 6. Not bad and made a genuine effort to attack our corners. Wasilewski - 6. We're definitely better with him in above Moore. Konchesky - 6. Not bad again. Mahrez - 6. His usual tricky self. Made the wrong decision a couple of times but he was definitely what we'd been missing. James - 6. Good effort from him again, should've scored. Cambiasso - 6. Hit and miss. Spots things that no-one else does but does make the odd mistake. I wasn't convinced about him in a two but he did well. Schlupp - 5. His end product is non-existent, not too bad today. Vardy - 4. Worst game for us since 2012/13. Ulloa - 5. Tried but he relies on service, sadly it was lacking again. Nugent - 3. Ineffective and not a Premier League player. Knockaert/Wood - NA Sunderland - 5. Referee - 2. What a willy puller. Pearson - stays.
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Didn't you lot notice how often schlupp lost the ball today? Almost every time he got it. Terrible player
sdb Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 All 7's bar strikers (6) and Wes (8). Thought everyone player well, but no one outstanding. Subs did little. Nuge does look very low on morale. Ref started well and slowly got worse until he was really rather poor.
Dickov22 Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Kasper 8- Fantastic save in the first half De Laet 6- Solid game from him and thought he dealt well with Wickham (who looked very good actually) Wasileski 8- Very good game, dominant in the air and rarely troubled Morgan 8- As above. Phenonemal block in the first half too Konch 6 Decent game from him Mahrez 8 - Wonderful skill at times. Thought he tired towards the end. Plenty of endeavour and shots at goal. Quite unbelievable he's been left out the last few James 6- Love to see him bursting through the midfield, but his finishing needs to be better. Decent game Cambiasso 7- Couple of sloppy passes but overall pretty good and so so classy at times with the passes he sees Schlupp 6- Full of desire but should have done better with his first half chance. Lacks intelligence Ulloa 6- Worked hard, showed some nice touches Vardy 5- Garbage today but I'd still have left him on as he's always a threat with his pace Nugent 1 Simply pathetic. That shot...... Wood 1 His only contribution was a foul. Ending a Premiership game with those two upfront trying to salvage a goal is simply not good enough. We lost any attacking threat in my opinion when we replaced Vardy with Nugent. No idea what Pearson was thinking
Corky Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Schmeichel- 7 (Distribution much better, three fine saves) De Laet- 5 Wasyl- 7 (Solid again, our best defender) Morgan- 7 Konch- 6 Mahrez- 6.5 James- 7 Cambiasso- 6 Schlupp- 6 Ulloa- 6 Vardy- 5 Nugent- 2 Wood- 2 Knocky- 4 Ref- 2 (Awful, possibly his worst decision was giving a foul on Pantillimon in injury time when he fell straight into Nugent and dropped the ball). Stuliasz Posted 22 November 2014 Author Share Posted 22 November 2014 Schmeichel 8 - one of his best games this season if not the best. Good distribution and some excellent saves De Laet 6 - opposite of his usual, fairly solid defensively but going forward, all he seemed to do was give it away Morgan 7 - solid defensively, and it's almost certainly being picky but it frustrates me to see how many of his defensive clearances go straight to the opposition. Wasilewski 7 - as Wes. Konchesky 7 - thought he did well today Mahrez 7 - drifted in and out but when he was in, he was classy and creative James 8 - my MotM, constantly driving forward and dominated the midfield, particularly in the second half Cambiasso 7 - supported James well and there were less of the Hollywood passes today Schlupp 7 - thought he had a good game. Provided good cover for Konchesky and used his pace well at times going forward Ulloa 6 - worked harder than in recent performances but still not offering any goal threat at present, needs to make chances for himself rather than just relying on service to him Vardy 5 - frustrating performance from him. Starting to wonder whether he's hit his barrier at this level but I hope to be proven wrong. Nugent 4 - little to no impact and one woeful decision to shoot from a ridiculous position Knockaert 4 - did little to impact proceedings Wood 4 - as Knockaert
kingfox Posted 22 November 2014 Share Posted 22 November 2014 Didn't you lot notice how often schlupp lost the ball today? Almost every time he got it. Terrible player Do you have a head injury? First half I bet his pass success rate was 100% Second half he ran into traffic & lost the ball about twice.
Harry - LCFC Posted 23 November 2014 Share Posted 23 November 2014 I usually find myself rating the performance higher than most people but I really wasn't that impressed with us today. Passing wasn't good and we didn't create much. It was better but I don't think it was worthy of many 7's being handed out.
MooseBreath Posted 23 November 2014 Share Posted 23 November 2014 Do you have a head injury? First half I bet his pass success rate was 100% Second half he ran into traffic & lost the ball about twice. Never beat his man down the wing, never got a successful cross in as far as I can recall. Pretty useless contribution from a winger with a remit to attack.
ScouseFox Posted 23 November 2014 Share Posted 23 November 2014 Never beat his man down the wing, never got a successful cross in as far as I can recall. Pretty useless contribution from a winger with a remit to attack. 0 successful crosses and 1 successful take on (albeit in his own half, so probably not getting past his full back like an actual winger). he did seemingly complete all 12 of the passes he attempted though. all twelve.
