Ansteyfox Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 How long do you think the owners will stick with Nigel Pearson. I personally want him given the whole season but we know the aspirations of the owners and picking very few points up from our potential relegation competitors is not going to fill them with confidence. Should we fail to pick up at least a point at QPR tomorrow, I fear for his future.
yorkie1999 Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 I doubt they'd get rid of pearson, who'd actually replace him who knows any of our players apart from H Redknap who sold our best striker from last year and that was because he was crap 10 years ago. lgfualol Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 I want him all season but if we're still struggling like this in a couple months or so I don't want him all season.

ScouseFox Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 well they stuck with him through 1 win in 15 (i think?) in a division below, and still didn't sack him when we didn't go up despite sacking him being the correct decision according to literally every leicester fan at some stage in that run or summer. so it wouldn't surprise me if they left him to it again, although the difference is we've spent money and there's more time to spend money again i guess
cc_star Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 End of the season at least, unless we gown down in Derby-like disgrace. If we go down it depends on how for me as to whether he's has the opportunity to bounce back.

We were so well placed beforehand that depsite that awful run we still made the playoffs. This time round if we were to win 1 in 15, we would be all but down. Wild exaggeration imo. Admittedly plenty turned on him after Barnsley and there were a hell of a lot morons about at the time, but lots of us, myself included, could see the potential in what he was building from a mile off based on the August to Feb of that season. He polled at 80% in favour of him staying after the play-offs.

Some of us did trust in him and I still think he will become our best ever manager given time. He will not match MON's 4 top tens in four years and 3 finals 2 of them wins in four years in the prem. But I do think he would be happy to stay here for years and will have a better record. The big difference is the gulf in squads between top championship sides and the lower prem now as we are finding. Even so I do think nige will turn us round this year. If not as long as we are still in with a chance at the end and not buried weeks before I would rather we stick with him so we can come back better and stronger. MooseBreath Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 Doubt he'll be sacked for relegation unless we spend big in January and there's no improvement. If we're relegated and not looking like promotion candidates by next Christmas then they'll probably sack him then, but all things considered the owners seem very patient, so I'm sure nige will be given plenty of time whatever happens. ealingfox Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 You think they'd risk relegation after that statement and all the money invested? Pray tell me a way we might have operated this season which offered no risk of relegation? We spent 15 million tops in the summer. We'll get 60 million for finishing last. They've hardly thrown all their eggs in the basket of this season.

Jace Posted 28 November 2014 Share Posted 28 November 2014 Don't see the point in giving him to the end of the season, if he does good he deserves to stay and if we do bad and go down he would be without a doubt the best person to bring us back up.
