AKCJ Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Well ****. Don't understand why people rate Hamer so highly - poor in pre-season, poor vs Shrewsbury and very shaky against Stoke. Hopefully he does well, but I can't see it. He's like Wood in that he gets better on the bench. I saw him against Shrewsbury and he was absolutely tragic. However, he did make some neat saves and put in a tidy performance after a somewhat shaky start at Stoke.

filbertway Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Just when he looked a bit like his old self. We're being dealt shit hand after shit hand. How do you mean? His shot stopping has never been in question.
ronnup Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 shame for Hamer its Man City. Being involved in a pumping won't do his confidence much good.
Corky Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 It is a loss, make no mistake. Kasper has been unpredictable this season but could still win us points. Hopefully Hamer lives up to the hype on here in the next few weeks, hope too that Kasper comes back as quickly as possible.
Babylon Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Well ****. Don't understand why people rate Hamer so highly - poor in pre-season, poor vs Shrewsbury and very shaky against Stoke. Hopefully he does well, but I can't see it. Because he's not in the team and instantly become amazing, not forgetting having the ball kicked straight at him and wide 500 times against stoke. I hope he comes in and produces the goods, but I'm afraid I've not been overly convinced when I have seen him and that includes the Stoke game where he was giving me kittens first half. Babylon Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 If you watch the first 20 mins he dropped a few long balls and crosses, but that was it. Very good when we were defending our lead. Also spilled a couple of easy shots, which was his problem in the preseason friendlies.
Ric Flair Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Big loss but also a big chance for Hamer to make a name for himself. A couple of performances like he did against Stoke that wins us points and it could turn our season......

Some of the saves he pulled off in the 2nd half were sensational though pal. He's going to be a cult hero.

Corky Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 I thought a straight red was a 3 game ban? Denying a goalscoring opportunity is one game I think. He had the same v Millwall a couple of years ago and only missed the next match. He's not listed on the FA suspension page http://nav.thefa.com/sitecore/content/TheFA/Home/TheFA/~/link.aspx?_id=D6CA03B6740C4E78A1E74E2493E9199B
David Hankey Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Just when folk were wondering whether Schmeichel should be rested or not, now we have the answer. Is that bad luck or divine intervention or was it something to do with those monks?!! I wish him well and hope he makes a speedy return.

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Bugger. People getting their wish for him to be dropped are about to be hugely disappointed as we let in a bucket load v Man City
Larry_LCFC Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 With a bit of luck (luck, what's that?), Hamer will come out with something to prove and put in the performance of a lifetime. Do we have a Hamer chant?
EnderbyFox Posted 11 December 2014 Share Posted 11 December 2014 Bugger. People getting their wish for him to be dropped are about to be hugely disappointed as we let in a bucket load v Man City Given the current form of our defence I think most were expecting a bucket load anyway.
