All I know is if it was me it'd push me further to go out there and prove a point - As they are professional footballers I would like to think they'd have the same mentality. It's not that lack of effort is the problem though is it? It's simply a lack of enough quality. I don't see why every time a team is struggling people start questioning the effort of the players. If you put the current Hartlepool United team in The Premiership they could try their hearts out every week but would still be bottom. Which is why people need to stick with the players. If the players feel they've lost the support/trust of the fans then you might see a lack of effort which combined with our lack of quality would be disastrous.
