Bilo Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 Anybody else having the problem of the forum redirecting to websites about fat American birds wanting to reduce their hefty arses?
The Doctor Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 No. I've had a similar problem with another website (redirecting to some ad-site) - try clearing your cookies: solved the problem for me.
Lamby Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 It's affecting other sites too, it's a host issue.

lavrentis Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 An issue with the hosting server Nah, not a problem with me. Sounds like a virus on the client side
The Doctor Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 An issue with the hosting server If it was then everyone trying to access it would see it.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 If you google it (I did cos it's happening to me) you'll see that there is a shed load of posts on different forums posting about this in the past few days. The common factor is that it happens, everyone runs a virus check, and so far no virus showing up (which is true for me). Even Apples, which are extremely difficult to pick up viruses, are reporting the problem. I believe Lamby is right, as I have seen the general concensus is that it is an issue with ads being hosted on certain sites. Seems most commonly to have affected fan forum sites, which will be largely hosted third party - like FoxesTalk. It also only ever happens when I visit here... any other sites - fine. Hopefully there will be a wealth of complaints somewhere that will sort things out. (NB, clearing my cookies seems to have worked so far... but no doubt I'll be accumulating cookies... and I suspect it was a cookie that I picked up here that did the damage.) DennisNedry Posted 11 January 2015 Share Posted 11 January 2015 If it's to do with forum Ads, download AdBlock for free (if you're using Google Chrome). It might have nothing to do with it but I'm not having this issue, plus AdBlock is well worth it anyway.
