Nick Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Is the stage set for a historic double? Anybody know if we've ever done it before? I actually believe we can go to Old Trafford and win - I realise I may be blinded by 'hopeful delusion disease' but I still think they may cave under pressure. Matt Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Erm, whilst we do need to have one eye looking forward just because we've got abit of a run going can we just keep taking it game by game please? We have Stoke next then an FA Cup game, let's not discount the important match against Stoke 1st before simply jumping to the United game that's 3 Saturdays away. Sorry Matt, I didn't realise the non sequential order of things might mess with your vaginal continuity juices.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 I've not seen a side become so shite in such asmall time frame after being so good for so long. Course we can beat em

Course we can beat em That's what I think - leaving Falcao on the bench for their Southampton debarcle spoke volumes as to what's going on inside that club. Nick Posted 14 January 2015 Author Share Posted 14 January 2015 Double over Stoke too.... Sure that'd be great but not as meteoric as doing it over Man U - Surely we've done the double over Stoke before at some juncture? He didn't even make the bench. Webbo Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 If there's one game Man U will really want to win it'll be this. We always have a chance but we'll be lucky to come away with a win.

justfoxes Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Although I'd love to see this happen and I voted yes ; ) ! This is one game in the fixture list UTD won't want to lose,I'm sure LVG will drill into them how we embarrassed th at the KP and he will want to beat the hell out of us ! But I'm sure our lads will be thinking the same as us about doing the double over them and this will probably be a very heated game with more cards being shown than clintons! But what with our January additions and our current form looking forward again to seeing us climb this table so yes we could do the double over UTD and I don't care if it's a cheeky 1 niler ! kingcarr21 Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Would be amazing but ive put no. Just cant see it happen. Lets just remember that if we lose then taking 3 points off Man U over the season is a great achievement. As far as im concerned its a free game to get bonus points with us already taking 3 off them. shailen Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 After what happened at the KP earlier on this season, they will be desparate to beat us. Their attacking quality is probably the best in the league, and I believe we will struggle to cope with that. At best, we will get a draw. Need to have a similar game plan to Soton and get men behind the ball and stay organised

RVP is in a downward spiral, Falcao out of favour and according to United fans on their forum he's not the player he was in 2012.Some are questioning getting rid odf Welbeck. Foxmeister Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 I voted no, but a couple of omens in our favour: We were bottom of the league in 1981 when we went to Liverpool and 'did the double' over them on January 31st and 17 years to the day later Cottee's goal secured a 1-0 at Old Trafford, this game takes place 17 years to the day after that victory. Rooney is a world class player, he controls the game from a deeper role. Di Maria has been one of the best players in the world, MOTM in the championship league final. Mata is a good player too, always finds space in the box. RVP has declined but he is still capable of causing severe damage. Then you've got Carrick, who is so underrated it's ridiculous. Nick Posted 14 January 2015 Author Share Posted 14 January 2015 Cambiasso had Rooney in his back pocket in round 1 - impressed the hell out of me as a defensive performance.
Dan LCFC Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Chances are we'll get shafted but you never know. They do look like they're to be got at still. Saying that, two home defeats this season and both were to sides I'd consider to be better than us.
Xen Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Don't think we'll do the double, but wouldn't be at all surprised if we managed to get a point from the fixture.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 14 January 2015 Share Posted 14 January 2015 Will Kramaric have a honeymoon period as good as Wood's? If so, reckon he might get a brace and we win at the final minute. That'd be sweet Realistically though I think it might be one of those good team performances where we fail to secure any points, lose 2-
