Stuliasz Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 Schlupp Continues 100% January Record lcfcratings.wordpress.com Saturday 24 January 2015, 15:00FA Cup : 4th RoundWhite Hart Lane, London Tottenham Hotspur 1Townsend 19′ (pen) Leicester City 2Ulloa 83′, Schlupp 90′ Jeff Schlupp continued to rub in his absence to the Ghana national team by performing excellently again (8.13) as City progressed to the FA Cup Fifth Round where they will meet Midlands neighbours Aston Villa. Schlupp completed man-of-the-match hat-trick for January, which also means he has claimed the award in every match he's featured during the month as well as being his fourth in the space of a month and fifth of the season. Marcin Wasilewski (7.12) who came on for Liam Moore during the first half did enough to warrant second place, while goalscorer Leonardo Ulloa (7.08) edged out Marc Albrighton (7.07) into third. It was another disappointing display from the central midfield pairing of Andy King (5.35) and Danny Drinkwater (5.24) who still did enough to finish above last-placed Liam Moore (4.57), with the England U21 international conceding a penalty before being taken off midway through the first half with an ankle injury. Jamie Vardy (5.38) was the only other player to finish below average with the rest of the team receiving respectable scores as the Spurs victory was voted the 10th best team performance this season (6.48). Nigel Pearson's rating (7.18) was considerably better than last week's defeat at home to Stoke, his fifth highest rating this season. Meanwhile after dropping 16% to a confidence rating of 82% after the Stoke game, the negativity turned back to positivity with a rise that sees Pearson back around 96%. Referee Robert Madley now holds two of the bottom five spots in the referee performance rankings, as his 3.6-rated performance against Sunderland earlier in the season was beaten for poorness by his display in the Spurs victory (3.25). Interestingly, Tottenham received a lower rating on Boxing Day after their 2-1 victory (5.01) than in Saturday's 2-1 defeat (5.33) but it's the result not the performance that takes the Foxes through to the fifth round and two wins away from a Wembley semi-final. Webbo Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 Totally agree with that. Jeff had a cracking match.
benpicko Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 What did the ref do to be 23/25? The Kramarić yellow card or was there something else too?

Nick Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 Hard to disagree with that. I thought Albrighton however was key in the build up to the goal and may have deserved a better rating overall?
Aus Fox Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 What did the ref do to be 23/25? The Kramarić yellow card or was there something else too? The Kramaric decision alone was worthy of a 0, appalling decision and up there with Big Wes Headball at Liverpool as the worst decisions of the season. So even a steady game after that a 3 is as good as he an expect.
theessexfox Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 The booking for Was' elbow looked ridiculous to me, their penalty was soft as anything (though probably just a pen on balance) and his general decisions seemed to be wrong so often, for me. LanguedocFox Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 I would have Kramaric above Ulloa, but looks pretty fair overall apart from that. Schlupp was far and away the best player in either team.
Dan LCFC Posted 28 January 2015 Share Posted 28 January 2015 What did the ref do to be 23/25? The Kramarić yellow card or was there something else too? That decision was awful but he's not worthy of being that far down I don't think. Pretty sure the one against Villa got rated higher which is strange as he made an even more appalling penalty decision as well as give them every single 50/50.
