  1. The opportunity of an FA cup semi should be taken seriously. Why would we wrap our players in cotton wool. Ridiculous!
  2. He played at Bournemouth and was excellent and didn't play against QPR and we were well short at the back when it mattered. QED
  3. I’m in the USA this week so couldn’t. make the trip to the north east and had to follow it on the BBC. Most important thing was to win which we did. Too much over thinking about the detail as far as i can see. It’s long season and we have dropped off but let’s remember how bad last season went. We’ve been top for months and are still there. Remember that .
  4. Just got home after a fantastic day out in Bournemouth. Excellent support and a great team performance saw us through. Vestergaard was our best player ably supported by Coady. Nacho added quality when he came on. Raikey looked out of his depth and Akgun fluffed his lines on several occasions but overall a scratch team put up a great performance. well done lads and thanks for making the long drive home pain free.
  5. The general tone here appears to be complete lack of interest. Personally I’m going to enjoy my day out, have a paddle in the sea. A pint with my son pre match and later a long drive home . I think there is a match at some time during the day as well.
  6. We lost 5-0 at Man City in an FA Cup replay after drawing 0-0 at Filbo. kinkladze ripped us apart. One goal stands out as he dribbled past most of our team before scoring.
  7. One of my favourite ever games. A wonderful goal by Bergkamp. Such natural skill. only bettered by Walshy baiting Ian Wright after the final whistle.
  8. One area Enzo has to improve on is substitutions. McKenna freshened his team up to great effect. Ours were too late. This has happened in other games this season. Also playing for a 1-0 win with half an hour to go. We were so much better than them in the first half but then retreated and invited them on for most of the second half.
  9. I’m at Strensham services. First McD’s since Cardiff so it’s full of Leicester. Great support tonight and they never really threatened. Hamza was excellent and Mavadidi had another good game. Great strike from JJ.
  10. My only trip to Cardiff was our first game after Vichai died. Their fans and stewards were extremely generous in their sympathy and we all had T-shirts in memory of him, I still wear mine occasionally. We won and when the payers came over at the end we sang long and loud. It was a wonderful, memorable trip. Even Warnock said some nice things.
  11. I lost count of the number of attacks that broke down when the ball was passed to Daka. He has pace but lacks control.
  12. Tonight was a great opportunity in a wide open game for Daka to perform. He didn’t.
  13. I remember being on a minibus after losing 2 0 at Oxford in the FA Cup. There were fans jumping off the floodlights at the Cuckoo Lane End as we were so poor and it was more entertaining than the game We stopped in Banbury and some of the headbangers went looking for a fight. A couple of us found a quiet pub and kept our heads down.
  14. St Andrews in the nineties. Train to New Street then a long walk to the ground with police escort. Watched closely by the Zulu warriors the whole way.
  15. Supporters coach to Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough last game of the season 1987/88. They only needed a draw for automatic promotion and we won, spoiling their party completely. Their fans were trying to scale the fences at the end to get to us. Coins flying in at every angle. Coaches were right by the exit doors and we had a police escort all the way to the A1. Exciting times!
