Rob1742 Posted 16 November 2016 Share Posted 16 November 2016 In my day, you could never imagine Henry, Oliver or Alfie making a comeback, but they all have. But what names will never return: Bruce Colin Adolf

I just wanted to be Dave or Mike, like everyone else. As I got older, I hated it less. I was named after my grandfather, who was really great. I just can't imagine someone calling their kids these names anymore so I guess they're dead already, unless someone gives birth to a 50 year old used-car salesman. foxile5 Posted 17 November 2016 Share Posted 17 November 2016 Slightly off-topic but I hate, with a burning, crazy passion, this new trend for naming kids invented names. It is absolutely moronic and, in my opinion, tantamount to child abuse. Examples of baby names I have come across over the last 3 years : Anaai Zacchaius Tai'bo

Zacchaeus is a real name too, it's at least as old as the new testament. Can't speak for Tai'bo though, sounds like a martial art.
Barky Posted 17 November 2016 Share Posted 17 November 2016 Aren't all names made up anyway? I think the current cutesy trend for using L's and ending on a vowel will die out pretty quick once the first few fat Olivia's come through Give your kid an adult name you idiots
