SEVILLA!

Recommended Posts

Portsmouth took a 2-0 lead at home to a top quality AC Milan side managed by Ancelotti in 2008, drew 2-2.

An AC Milan side that contained Ronaldinho, Shevchenko in his prime, Seedorf, Gattuso, Inzaghi and Portsmouth had Kanu and Crouch up front!

I believe in miracles if bloody Portsmouth can do that in a one off European game then we can however bad our run has been.

Don't players whose team win games in the CL get additional bonus payments for it?

That may make some of the players to lick their lips if so to want to turn up and succeed.

Also - perhaps they see the PL as 'been there,  done that', in regards to winning the competition last season now; and see this as a step-up in terms of what they really can do on a global stage and for the younger players in particular a chance to impress in front of visiting scouts from bigger European teams to try and get big offers from them.

Why do I keep thinking to myself we will get a result out there? They've been dominated by Eibar so far then score to take a 1-0 lead. The players need to stand up and be counted.

To be honest, Eibar would dominate the entire EPL right now, except Man City maybe. Their last two matches were 4-0 wins home and away and one of them was against Valencia (regardless of the latter being crappy lately).

Vitolo and Mariano are not playing tonight, and Pareja (main defender) is also missing, but will be back against you guys.

As a Sevillista by heart, I like to follow the opinions of the fans of our opponents, and been following this forum for months now, only to register tonight. As a true football fan (primarily before anything else), surely I admired the fairytale of Leicester last season, and was quite happy that an underdog team won the EPL, even though of course I think that La Liga is ages ahead of EPL when it comes to football.

Nevertheless, there is an intriguing truth about the nickname "Foxes"... a fox is sly and can do anything when not taken seriously (or unnoticed), but when the time comes and you have to fight in tough battles out there, when the opponent analyzes you and you actually have to create something (when opponents defend etc.), that's the real face of a team.

Sevilla has been dealing with parked buses a lot, and we are composing a system in trying to brake them, however, the pace and the technical skills of our players will be the crucial components that will decide the tie, starting from Wednesday.

Sorry to say this, my dear friend, but Leicester does not have a single chance of passing through. Anyway, I really hope that all of those traveling to Sevilla will enjoy the stay and somehow (you all must believe in miracles by now), you make it and stay in EPL for the next season.

All the best from a Sevillista since 2002

I don't think they're motivated by the money. I think they're shot of confidence/form/idea. I honestly can't see them turning it on for another competition just because they've won the league they're in. The only way to make a difference now is to remove the manager, a new set of ideas and clean slates, but if that happens it won't be until after we're knocked out of the champions league, or more likely, in my opinion, relegated.

Well written English.

You should be well versed for what to expect from us then :D

Why does this game matter? I see posts saying it's the biggest game in our history. How can it be when it has 5-0 pasting written all over it? What do we learn or gain from winning? What do we learn or gain by losing? i see it as a distraction standing in the way of another league game we'll lose.

We are about to play a champions league last 16 away tie, something none of us could ever have dreamed of. Yet we are all (justifiably) suicidal. Supporting this club is mental. I'm from London I could have supported anyone as a kid. Why did I do this to myself? lol

Unfortunately this is correct. Seville are a million times better than Millwall, and will - not to put too fine a point on it - p!ss all over City.

Sevilla had recent success in Europa League. Not much else though. They usually choke in big occasions, similar to Arsenal.

Nice way to put things. They're just three time Europa league winners in a row ( 5times all in all, record). That's all.

" parked buses" nothing to worry about we'll part like the red sea and allow your players to score at will. As a Seville fan you should be disappointed if your team doesn't put atleast 3-4 goals past us.

I wish we could have played in Europe last year so all of Europe could see the real Leicester City.
