JoeyP88 Posted 6 January 2017 Share Posted 6 January 2017 Leicester are showing interest in Spartak Moscow forward Quincy Promes. Liverpool seemed to be in pole position to sign him, per the Mirror, but may not have things all their own way in this pursuit. The reigning Premier League champions have just added Wilfred Ndidi to their ranks and are now on the lookout for a new goal outlet. Promes, 25, has weighed in with six goals and seven assists this season.

STUHILL Posted 6 January 2017 Share Posted 6 January 2017 Can he play as a number 10? If Slimani and Vardy find form, would be hard to keep them on the bench. Number 10 type forward would be useful, that can play just behind the strikers with a touch of creativity and ability to hit a long shot Main position is RW on Transfermarkt with Striker and LW secondary positions

Stadt Posted 6 January 2017 Share Posted 6 January 2017 Great goalscoring record considering he's predominantly a wide player, quite similar to Mane but more prolific 6 goals and 6 assists in 14 appearances so far this season.

Is he as quick as MANÈ? MANÈ is about as quick as Musa I'd say.

JoeyP88 Posted 6 January 2017 Author Share Posted 6 January 2017 Strengths and Style Promes is a fleet footed skillful player who is capable of playing anywhere across the attacking line. Just like Mane he is primarily used as a right winger, but operates and influences the game more centrally. He can cut inside or go wide to provide accurate crosses and will gladly use his weaker foot to endanger the keeper. Although he doesn’t possess the same pace as the Senegalese, Promes impeccable movement and runs behind the defensive lines makes him a constant threat for the opposition. Besides his admirable technique he is also able to shield the ball by using his body and does not get easily bullied by opponents of more imposing physique. He is regularly using one-two combinations with his teammates and likes to draw the players on to himself in order to disrupt the defensive shape of the opposition and create space for his teammates. He will almost always try to dribble past a defender when in one-on-one situation before he attempts to create an opportunity for himself or for others. Promes’ biggest strength lies in his ability to find dangerous positions in the box and in his composure and coolness in front of goal. Many of his goals so far have come from long distance shots as the Dutchman has a lot of power in his right foot and precision to find the back of the net. obviously copied from a Liverpool scouting report I found online.... You wouldn't drop any of their front players at the moment, so probably not. At 25 too, he is not someone who should be sat on a bench. Liverpool still has a huge pull though and pushing for the title and will most likely be in the Champions League next season.
