Your best bet is the many and varied pubs around Liverpool Street - lots of choice including a Spoons in the station itself. It's one stop from there to Stratford: lots of trains on the mainline, takes about 10 mins - you'll pass the ground on the left - and another 20 to walk back again from the station.
