boots60 Posted 16 February 2017 Share Posted 16 February 2017 A recent report has concluded UK residents are spending more on eating out than ever before. Is this wise? No.1 Sands I'm sure there are plenty more http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/leicestershire-restaurant-closed-by-inspectors-due-to-cockroach-infestation/story-30138110-detail/story.html

Libertine Posted 16 February 2017 Share Posted 16 February 2017 I always check the hygiene rating of anywhere I go now. Though doesn't always help clearly as I ate at Sands a few months ago.

Wymsey Posted 16 February 2017 Share Posted 16 February 2017 When I lived in Glenfield (Frith Drive), after school sometimes had a takeaway from Glenfield Fish Bar. Didn't mind about food quality as a youngster and preferred food from there compared to other fish bars (though nothing can beat Grimsby Fisheries near Victoria Park). Golden Orient wasn't too bad either. The Forge (still is quite a few people I know) was normally a relaxed place to go for good-quality meals, but The Railway pub had a lot to be desired for. adam1 Posted 17 February 2017 Share Posted 17 February 2017 Have never had any issues with Maryland. I was delighted when as a student in Nottingham I discovered that they had a branch 8 mins walk from my house!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 17 February 2017 Share Posted 17 February 2017 Oh good old Maryland. I remember the days at college, going in at lunch, 2 chicken burgers, chips and a drink for two quid. Then having to run out of an ICT lesson as you're touching cloth.
