He was so unhappy in the City he returned to Italy a month later. roughly translated to he had openly expressed his interest in management and when Fiorentina came and made him an offer he took it. It was his son, not himself with the orgy thing - who knows, Pearson senior might have been livid with him at the time (and fir a good while) about it affecting his then-sour relationship with the club.
