We've got time to think about this, let's make sure the long term appointment is correct. Shakey has the rest of the season as an audition now, If we play positively there's no reason we can't climb up the table, which will give him a chance of the permanent job. If he can get it right on the pitch tactically, he already has the respect of the players, apparently the ability to motivate them (in the short term at least), and has been a key part of the long term thinking that took us from League One all the way to the pinnacle that was last season. The most important thing for me though is that we go back to the high pressing, quick tempo play that gets the best out of us. We've already partially returned to that (though I thought we were a bit too slow in possession against Hull). We must learn our lesson and realise the way we have to play. The big issue is what happens in the summer .... Shakey or A. N. Other .... Has Shakey got enough strings to his bow to manage a prem team ? ... Can he target and recruit quality players ? .... Can we find a quality alternative who WANTS to come to the club ? ..... I've no idea and no idea what is best for the club ... Happy to leave that one to the owners.
