Bought myself a Nikon today, just looking at lenses for it now. Can anyone help me with what sort of lenses I should be looking at, I want to take photos of cool buildings and bodies of water. But I also want to take close up photos revolving around fashion (clothing, trainers etc)

I had to close this down for a minute for fear of being caught out. She's not that bad really, she's quite handsome if you turn the lights down and squint your eyes. :D

After a few years off, I've caught the photography bug again and just purchased a Fuji XT-1 and a few different lenses.

 

I've also dusted off my old Nikon F100 and I'm looking to buy a medium format (non digital) within the next couple of months, so if anyone has opinions on entry level old MF cameras then let me know!

 

I'm going to attack Leicester over the holidays and if I manage any half respectable pics then I'll post on here.

Got a couple of nice pics today with by idiot proof Lumix G1 ....     no idea how it works but put everything on auto and press the button.

 

These are some newly hatched Goldfinch chicks ...   the nest, in my rose bush, is only about 9 cms across and the chicks heads are less than 1cm wide ...   tiny tiny little fellas ..

Whereabouts MC? The 3rd one had me guessing Chobe in Bots but that last one (brilliant btw) is obviously not!
On the Zambezi River, near to the Lower Zambezi park and bordering Zim.

An amazing place. You either have to fly or take a 3 hour boat trip! The wife and kids flew down, I took the boat.

Sold my 5D Mk.III a few months ago, and am now itching to shoot pictures and videos again.

I'm pondering a switch from Canon - which I've supported for about a decade - to a bit more compact Fuji X-H1 or Sony a7R III, two very good hybrid cameras. The Sony is a bit pricey, though. And the Fujifilm, which has just been released, seems to offer just as many options in terms of photo and video.

 

What cameras do you fancy or would you recommend in my case?

Anyone shooting film here? 

Picked up a battered old Pentax k1000 in Mexico city a couple months back to try and teach myself. Really enjoying it and slowly improving my grasp of aperture and shutter speed.

Nice photos.

 

I still use 35mm (and sometimes 120) film quite a lot. Got a Canon AE1 and a Spotmatic with a great 29mm E German lens.
