Midfielder Moreno was part of a mini Portuguese invasion at City following the arrival of Paulo Sousa as manager. Plying his trade in the Portugal leagues, he signed in 2010 alongside countryman Miguel Vitor and made his debut in the League Cup, a 4-3 win over Macclesfield Town. But following the sacking of Sousa, Moreno was left out in the cold and told that he could find a new club, having made just three league starts for the Foxes.
