The centre-forward signed for Leicester in 1891 from Ilkeston Town and actually played in the final game - a friendly - at the club's old Mill Lane ground before featuring numerous times as Fosse took to Filbert Street in the Midland League, making 17 appearances but notching just one goal along the way.
His spell at the club lasted just a year before he returned to Ilkeston for a second spell, and regularly got amongst the goals for the Derbyshire club.
