Player Profile

Birmingham-born Harris was an amateur goalkeeper who made just one Leicester appearance in a Midland League fixture against Rotherham Town in January 1892.

That one performance actually resulted in the club's best win of the season, 4-1, but his services weren't called upon again. He was used as an emergency goalkeeper in a number of reserve matches but that's as far as his on-field Fosse career went.

He started with Leicester Teachers and moved on to play for Loughborough, where he was a regular in goal in their Midland Alliance side, something which prompted the Foxes to make their move for the shot-stopper.

He went on to become president and secretary of the Leicester Senior League, continuing his involvement in football whilst also running his own business in the town.
